Sorry i didnt explain that.

So all that stuff in that picture was around $200. He asked how i wanted to pay it. I said i'll do $25 today (again, testing him), he got all butthurt about it. I hope he develops thicker skin or im not doing business with him.

I owe Strap-on ~$1000 and that dealer is letting me pay whatever i want week to week which most of the time is $25.

Ha ha, that's hilarious that he was all butthurt about it.

Wilton 4" vise from Northern Tool. Made in China but for $20 i couldn't leave it there. FWIW, there were 7 more so this might be at other stores too. Fit and finish is actually pretty decent. Paint is good, jaws are square and its pretty smooth when opening and closing.

Got the new screwdriver set and got it out to use it, and bam, first screw, snapped the tip off. Called the my dealer and he made a special trip back to put a new blade in.

Also got the 4pcs Blue-Point filter wrench set. Love it so far

You'll love that air hammer I have been using mine daily for 5 yrs now. The only thing is the barrel tends to unscrew for the vibration...... a drop of lock tite and youll be good to go

That's crazy. I've had the same set of hard plastic handle ones for 18 years and still going strong. I've put wrenches on the bolsters too. I wonder if that was just a fluke, or if their quality is different now, or maybe something else. I'm glad I have some good ones. Considering he rushed back to replace it, it must have been a fluke occurrence, whew.

Wiha order came. I don't know why I got so many TORX drivers, and they're all so red, but I like them. Probably only ever use a couple of them though, and I guess they're taking up a lot of room too.

Ya, I think it was just a fluke. I looked closely at where it broke, and it looked like there might have been a bubble in the metal? Anyways, I'm 90% sure it was just a fluke. My dealer was really surprised. He said most folks use these sets for years and years without replacing a single blade or anything.
Also, 3 other guys at work have Snap-On screwdriver sets and they all love em and swear that they're the best money can buy.
Hopefully I have better luck with the new blade.

Purchased this hammer tacker today and a old Craftsman Ratcheting Box End Wrench for a song. The box end does not ratchet and is locked up. I am not sure if I should try to see if there is a replacement or try and fix it. I can drill out the rivets but not sure what is the best way to get it back together again.

That just makes it sound petty. I need to know how much he is willing to work with me in case times get bad for me. And since the bill is only $200 and it will be paid off in four weeks, i would be happy for getting such a big percentage payment. He will realize when more people buy bigger things with bills in the thousands and only paying $25 that i was being generous.

Hose pliers. Used them not even 20 mins after i got them. Had to drop a gas tank, and switch out a sending unit. Reconecting lines in tighter places are easier with them.
Broke my mac's, and needed back ups. Since i see him rarely now.

I happened to be at my local tool store today getting some other things and asked about air hammers this was the only model they keep in stock and the guys there have never misled me into buying junk so I assume its pretty dang good, but it might be awhile till I get to use it though. I didn't research at all or anything but almost all of my air tools are IR and I have had nothing but stellar service out of them.

I have the 121 as well. Its been a beast and well worth the price.

Picked up the complete Craftsman Professional SAE 13-piece set and this Vaughn Superbar from the pawn shop today for $15. Not to shabby. The wrenches are used but in good shape, they do have the owners marks "JC" on them, but they are USA made and for the price I couldn't pass them up.

Also received this Mitutoyo Micrometer from a family member, I dont think it was ever used. Came with case, some paperwork and a wrench too although I'm not sure what the wrench is for.

The tiny spanner wrench is use for calibration of the micrometer scale. There is a hole on the end closest to the frame. You more than likely won't need to mess with it. Good stuff.

That wrench is for zeroing out the micrometer. The micrometer should read zero when closed all they way, if not you use the wrench to turn the middle part of the micrometer.

How similar is that Mac filter socket set to the Sunex 3671 3/8-Inch Drive Oil and Fuel Filter Socket Set, 6-Piece? Is there a big price difference? My car's filter housing is plastic, so I guess the socket won't get stressed (don't know about other cars), and it doesn't seem to be torqued down all that tight.

I ordered the Sunex kit, but Amazon takes forever to ship these days and I really had to change my earl. I mean oil. It was in a tight spot, and I don't have any tools that big, except for a huge adjustable wrench. (nothing over 21mm in Metric or 1" in SAE, I know, I know - working on that, finally got a 1/2" drive ratchet the other day) I had to do it by hand, and it was insanely hard.

I made sure my hands were clean and dry (no gloves), and grabbed that sucker around its largest diameter. Did it just budge? I think I budged it. A little bit. Let me try again. (as hard as I could) Yes, I know it moved just then. I kept doing this, resting in between, and at one point had to rest for like 10 minutes, until I cleared the (now drier than optimal) O'Ring, and it became easier to turn. My hands hurt, because you're supposed to use a tool for that. Anyway, I'm not saying I'm a big strong guy or anything, because it was really hard for me to do, I'm just saying it was doable. It went back on easier, with the freshly lubed O'Ring and I just snugged it down as hard as I could (by hand). No leaks, and I'm confident in my (ghetto) work.

I guess I'm saying I have no idea why I just spent a grip of change on a set of these things, when they probably don't need to be that strong - and they're not even "swivel-style" or anything. That would have been cool. I'm gonna need some swiveling to get to mine. Well, in 6,000 miles I'll get to try my new Sunex set out, and I hope it was worth $60, dang.

(Oh, I got the kit (instead of just a 27mm one) because I plan to do other cars as well, in the future - and will probably own other cars in the future, in case anyone was wondering. And I like things that come in sets that include a case.)

I think that set is the exact same except that one is impact. Price is similar too. I paid $50. The book price was $110 but he said that was crazy so he cut me a deal.

Just attach a univeral swivel to your oil filter socket, that's what I do.

Don't drill the rivets out of the box end ratchet wrench.

I had 3 snap ons like that style that was rusted in place. I soaked it in PB blaster for an hour and then placed a bolt in the vise that the wrench fit on and broken the wheel loose of the rust bond it had. Then I started to work the little lever that holds the wheel in place back and forth with a pick until it started to work on it's own. As long as the little pin that pushes the lever isn't completely stuck and can be worked free by soaking it with some kind of penerating oil and tapping the wrench against the bench to jar it loose, it will eventually start to work and just have to keep spraying it with oil and turning it til it start to run clean. Once I got to that point i sprayed it white lithium grease and wiped it down with a clean rag and put them in my toolbox!
