$5 for air tank, $10 for clevis and $30 for the vise.

I thought so; is it a push driver also, or just ratcheting? If a push driver it will be a short stroke model obv.

Jake: don't feel like the lone ranger on having something haunt you to come back and buy it that was for sale where you just left. Hell sometimes i don't even make it back to the car before heading back and buying it or more items.

Anybody else do this too? i bet i could fill up a garage with the stuff i bought on the second or third trips back to sales i just left.

nice grab on the clamps that now have a good home that appreciates them.

Montgomery Wards Powr-Kraft 1/4 socket set. Think these were made by Wright

In my quest for Vulcan tools I had to settle for Vulcan himself. Alabama folks may recognize this.

And though not excactly tool related at least construction related, souvenir given out to the workers on the local Niagara Power Project hyrdo-electric plant back in the day.

the first picture is 2 48" pry bars I paid 2 dollars each. I gave some thought to hiring someone to carry them back to my truck. that one of the left is over 2in thick

the 2nd picture is a odd hammer, rubber cap on one side, striking head on the other, I haven't seen one like this, pretty good size, anybody got any idea what is was originally used for? I only paid $.50


3rd picture is another one of those things I have no idea what it is, but I had to get it. I am hoping someone has some idea what's it's for or what it is.

Who to congratulate? You guys are killin' it out there with cheap Wilton bullets, Snap On cabinets and way too much cool stuff. Looks like plenty to go around this weekend!

Some more of my finds. My first pawn shop shopping in a long while, got the Snap On O2 sensor socket and Proto special wrench for 14 bucks. Well worth it for the o2.

Finally hit my first legit yard sale of the season too! A couple Snap On sockets for 50cents each. One more deep 19mm Snap On at the flea market for 4 bucks.

My beloved flea market over here is closing for good in 3 weeks! One store had a 50% off sale, grabbed a bunch of tools at a decent price including Channelock cable cutters.

Stopped at an estate sale and picked up the other batch at a reasonable price. Craftsman, Williams Superplier, two cool Bonney wrenches, the extendable magnet is a Snap On, and I finally picked up a Sears ratcheting screwdriver that I've always avoided for some reason.

The two sided hammer is for sheet metal work. Soft when you don't want to mar it and hard for when you could care less

I go back occasionally, but usually for economic reasons: When they want silly $$ and I wont' pay silly $$ very often. Going back just before they close, or the following day late, they are often more negotiable on the silly prices. rarely have I burned myself, and had the item go missing if it was a cost factor.

Once in along while I'll have reconsidered an item and gone back to see if it's still there.

I was just about to post up my two local pieces I found too. A Buffalo News thermometer for the garage. Got it free at the estate sale, had to remove it from the wall & they told me I could have it. Also from the flea market an old Colt C - clamp made nearby in Batavia, NY. Thought it was neat, I see some similar wing screw clamps in the garage sale thread.

Fo sho! My favorite place to bargain hunt is about to sell diapers, milk, and outdated dvds. The flea market already had that stuff and more, LOL.

70's where one can find everything from rusty nails and screws to fresh produce, antiques,high end tools, and even new tires. Anything. But at a better price and fun for all.

I found this in a Kennedy box I won at auction yesterday, with several other old tools ($45 ) unfortunately, the box is at my parents so no pictures atm. My dad & I were speculating what this is, we figured it was a gift or some complementary from the company. Does anyone have any further info?

I went to one estate sale on Friday morning that advertised "tools". I picked up the items in the photo:
Petersen Vise Grips - $2.00 each
Craftsman Punch - $0.50
Craftsman RHFT 1/4" Ratchet - $2.00
Craftsman 9/16 x 5/8 DBE, MAC 1/2", Williams 9/16" and 1/2", and SK 10mm combo wrenches - $0.50 ea.
SK 1/4, 3/8 and deep 10mm sockets, Craftsman 3/8, 1/2, and 9/16 sockets - $0.50 ea.
SK wobbly sockets 7/16" to 3/4" plus wobbly adapter - $10.00
Aluminum drip pan, 1" deep - $0.50

A friend got there ahead of me (I was there 20 minutes before the advertised start time) and he got a Brown & Sharpe 0-4" micrometer with all the anvils in the case for $2.00! It was in good shape, too!

I've been picking up aluminum and stainless baking pans and use them all the time for holding parts or as drip pans. They go really cheap.

The RHFT Craftsman 1/4" ratchet was a little rusty and stuck, but a squirt of Kroil and five minutes later it was working smoothly! I'll still take it apart to clean and lube it properly.

I've been trying to put together another metric set of sockets and wrenches. I have finally found enough 10mm stuff to fill that slot. It amazes me how much 10mm hex is used!

Finally hit a couple of estate sales today. I got two pair of dumbells - 50 and 60 lbs - I'm using a 14x14 section of my new garage as a gym and everything except our elliptical has been an estate sale cheapo find. At the other sale I snagged the Snap Ons in the pic.

You ****! awesome score, I actually work a block away from the original Tecumseh Products plant in Tecumseh and my grandpa retired from there as a silver solderer - It's in the early stages of demolition now

And that Enderes is a 6-in-1 IIRC or is it old skool 4-in-1? And it alos seems to be PH2 and PH3 on the philips end instead of the now common PH1 and PH2 used currently. I found that oddly interesting.

And it matches the red pocket clip Enderes sent last fall.

I really have a ban on buying new tools but I backslide occasionally.
$30 for all this!

I also bought a 3 horse electric motor for my compressor and a tall transmission jack with a pair of tall jackstands for use under my lift.

Torqometer is a 9/32 so I really have no use for it, but the little Williams M-51 ratchet and all those Walden sockets kinda thrill me!

I rationalize all this as not feeding my tool junkie addiction by selling some car parts and the entire trip only cost about $200 including gas, food (I ate GOOD!) and some much needed clothes.

Yep, non-abrasive cleaning ONLY on BeCu, and wash well afterwards, and use disposable stuff like paper towels. DON'T use a wire wheel AT ALL.

Williams M-51 SUPERRATCHET! Smooth runner too.

All 1/4 drive stuff in the box. Walden sockets from 3/16 to 3/8 and SW for a 7/16 that matches the box. Handful of Craftsman deep and metric sockets, couple of Proto extensions and no name stuff. Paid 10 for the box and contents and 20 for the Torqometer.

Well not quite> made by PLOMB often spelled PLVMB with a Vee shaped O.

I agree 40's and certainly the WF (Wright Field) pattern.

They are a good laugh, a bit of an oxymoron if you ask me. They came in a few different flavors. Mine has a knurled handle, looks like egnorant's has a smoother handle.

Ive picked this place over 2 times before I found this site or else I would've posted all the other great things ive gotten from them. First up is a big G.E. clock, still works
