OK the usual Sat. morning run was about like the past couple of weeks. A few finds, as well as a higher number of silly money pricing that were left. I actiually told one guy, "You want them more than I do! (three clamp a small Proto wrench, and a hex key set for $20...) The College FM people are trying hard to sell at antique store prices in general... By the time I was home I was trying to be philosophical about so many people with the belief that rust + old = Valuable antiques...
The early Yard Sales had a few things:
A half ton spreader, and some old school brass door knobs, $5:
A silver plate creamer pot for SWMBO, and a fender (Amp?) logo .10c!
Got the 3 R's pretty well covered: Arithmetic, Geometry and English grammar with analysis books: 1872, 1883, and 1889
A quart of Alky, and a NOS sander board for a sheetrock sander stick
I did manage to get a couple things from the FM, 2 Indestro 15/16 in new condition from one guy for $5, - He started at 15, shook my head and he came down to ten; I shrugged that off and he asked me what I was willing to pay. I told him $5 and he countered, and I repeated 5 and that was my top. he took it. the rest was with another guy for $8 - Vim tools oil filter gripper, Xelite Strippers, Adjustable 3" C-clamp, and no visible name hose clamp pliers.
From the bottom Plvmb DOE from one guy, and the others were $8 fro al 4, Japan glass tongs, ()I like to use these for metal reforming jobs) Proto DOE, P&C Battery Pliers, and a New Britain DBE.
I had about decided on the way home that this was probably what it was going to be like for the summer. The economy has picked up quite a bit, people aren't hurting so much, there is more disposable cash around... It all ads up to higher prices, fewer yard sales, so more competition for the good stuff.
I came home for lunch, unloaded, and took some pics, ate and rechecked for the late postings for yard sales. I found one, an estate sale that sounded promising...
Guys there is no substitute for dumb luck and ignorance!
But you will have to wait for it!

Details to come as I get these bags unloaded..
4 Bags (all US army GI probably WWII) FULL of tools, a low boy jack, and yes that is a torque wrench, 33" long... 3/4" drive.
