Good luck with the winter driving. My Mach is a garage queen, it's an 04 and it has about 13,7XX on it. It rarely gets rained on.

Well it's been a while since my last posting but I got my dividing wall up, closet in, and electrical done. Right side of the walled area will be for work benches and such, left side for car.
Looks like plenty of light, You plan on working on the interior over the winter ?
What was the sticker on the back window of the Ranger ?

International Fire Fighters Association sticker...the gentleman I bought my truck from years ago was a Fire Chief. That Ranger was the toughest one I've ever had (I've had 6) but I now have a 2008 Sport Trac. Kinda wish I would have kept it and shoved a 5.0 in it.
I thought it was a Maltese Cross. Shoehorning a 5.0 in a Ranger is alot easier now than it was 20 years ago.

Currently I have my Mach, my cousins Cobra, and a 64 Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe that my dad recently acquired. If I didnt want room to work I could get 4 in there, but I think 3 is max with all the other stuff I have around.
Was the labor listed just for a certain part of the build? How much of the garage did you handle?
I am looking into building a similar size garage and am trying to decide whether I am up to the task of doing the concrete work.
Also, are you glad you placed the door on the narrow end of the garage vs two large doors on the long end?

The labor I paid for the 3 day build was building the walls, setting trusses, and sheeting the walls. My friends/family roofed it in 4 hours at the cost of some lunch and beer, and the windows, siding, eaves ect. were done by me and friends/family when I could get the help. I paid for all the excavation and concrete/block work since I knew nothing about it...and the guy that did it was recommended my many people in town.
I couldn't really build my garage wider than deeper and get the size I have now. I always imagined it as about 2 cars deep with the "shop" area in front. My original thought was it was going to be 24x36 but changed it to 26x40 after measuring vehicle lengths. I wish I would have gone 2 feet wider now but it's kinda late for that. Down the road I would like to build a full length porch down the east side and maybe box in a "shed" on the end of it.

Couple people were asking about how many vehicles/room I have....this is how it looks during the winter. Hopefully going to do some insulation when I get time and get my work area set up.

This is exactly what I intend to build....I know in one post you said you would go 2 feet wider... I dont think that is going to be an option for me.
Is their anything else you would do different?

My walls are 11'6 with the block foundation. I wish I would have gone a couple feet wider, couple other little things that don't really bother me much.

A local guy did the concrete and the garage build to get it up, I did all the siding, windows ect. I think my building material prices might be slightly less than most at the time seeing I work for Lowes....

I've finally got my **** in gear in the past few months and starting finishing the inside of the garage. I bought a skid of insulation for the walls and started putting it up, started buying sheets of OSB for the walls. Going to try and get some pics up in the next couple days of my progress....starting to look like something now.

I installed OSB in my shop and painted it. I purchased primer for OSB and sprayed it on. I then applied 2 coats of paint. I wish I would have done plywood as the painting would have been easier and I think would look better. Thing is OSB is allot cheaper in price.

This is my work area, a little messy right now but it's hard to keep it clean when having to move stuff constantly to work. The lockers in the middle will be moved later and I'm going to paint the cabinets and make a butcher block style top going all the way across. Sink is on the right side.
My reclaimed wood wall, I'm going to hang all my grandfathers plates from the 40's-60's up plus a few other things. It's kinda weird but he had the same plate number for like 20 years.
My compressor closet/attic access finished.

No. I was originally going to build a 24x36 and I'm glad I didn't. When I put the Mustangs against the wall bumper to bumper for the winter I have 6-7 feet to spare. I would have never shoehorned them in and use the man door if I didn't go the extra 4 feet.
