The first FM was a bust, still no luck finding the vendor from 3 weeks ago.

The second stop was hard to find, until I realized that they forgot to put a sign out front. The driveway was on a side road next to the house. I found it trying to turn around. The owner was complaining that he didn't have any customers all morning. I kept my mouth shut until I left and had the garage all to myself. (pics 1-3)

The third stop was to a FM that I hate going to. It's usually full of chinese knock-offs, but every now and then I find something interesting. Most of the "new import" tents were empty. The feds busted an indoor Flea recently (4 tractor trailer's worth of merch), and all the counterfeiter's are laying low for now. I only found one piece worth buying. (pic 4)

The second stop - $25
• Cman Crown Top #9-3231 "Universal Jig for Bench Saws" (only missing "locating guides" that will be easy to make)
____Unfortuanately, "Universal" won't fit my Makita contractor's saw.
• Cman #9-3230 Hold down kit (complete in box w/ instructions) (matches my crown top version)
• a coil of metal banding (a lifetime supply)
• a handle knob w/ 3/8-16 hole ( same diameter, but smaller hole than the 7/16-20 on my 1941 DP)
• 6" hook wrench - marked
____"STICKLE BACK"
____"ONEHANDER"
____"CHROMAVAN"
____"GERMANY"
• Fisher test tube clamp
• Square D reversing switch
____REV - OFF - FOR

The third stop - 75¢ (because I didn't have a dollar, and he couldn't break a ten. He was lucky I had three quarters in my pocket)
• Craftsman =V= (circle V) 1/4"dr spinner w/ socket head

Wow! Be sure to post them in the License Plate swap thread in the parking area, if you are interested in trading any of those! I see lotsa Ohio in there, not sure what other states are in there...

They're almost all Ohio, there were probably 8-10 Michigan as well. A handful of trailer plates. When I get a chance to go through them and put together a run to hang up I'll post up the rest.

If you display those, you should line up all those 2820-K plates by year:)

Here's a better picture resorted. The 1709 is a more complete run with the few early exceptions. They're in generally better shape, I think the 2820s were on a truck that was used like a truck.

Sale is still open tomorrow, I'm going to go back and see if any of the missing plates are stashed somewhere.

None.

He's from Detroit.

I'm from Ohio. And I LIVED in Detroit. The "One plate state" LOL.

I CAN'T posssibly IMAGINE how they got that many OHIO plates that far North.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

You'll get bucks at the Antique swaps and fleas if in OH.
Plate pairs are worth more of course.

In IN, KY, MI, well...not so much. LOLZ

Great find if it didn't break the bank.

I had time for one planned stop this morning, got the Baldor grinder and stand for $10, missing one tool rest and the glass for the eye-shields and the lights need to be rewired but it runs strong, the 1HP Baldor motor was also $10. The Petersen vise grip welding clamp was $2 and the 14” aluminum Ridgid pipe wrench was $3, everything else was .50 per piece. The smaller combo set is underlined logo Snap-on metric 13-19 (no 18) with two brand new 6 point 10mm's thrown in, the chisel is Millers Falls and the DBE is CMan, everything else is Klein, the combo’s are SAE 3/8”-1”.

You are #1 for the "best" YOU **** of the weekend! Nice haul!

May I ask how much that was, condition? You don't see those that often, did they have the top and bottom or just the mid box?

70 with no haggling. I have been looking for one for my dad's 537. Its in fair condition. Inside looks new because they used liners. Just the mid was there.

$3 for a USA made 8" C clamp and you left one behind? :headshake :bitchslap

Onedivine, good score but why are you not on the way back for the other clamp? :lol_hitti

Sometimes I suppose I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed! Actually, I grabbed the one clamp, set the price at $3, and some guy grabbed the other when he heard $3. To make matters worse, I left behind a pair of 5 ton large USA made Lincoln jack stands in great shape. Oh well.

So, today I hit only one sale, picking up an unknown grab bag. $3 for the old luggage container filled with goodies, and $1, yep I said $1, for the Midwest Fastener retail case. Here's how they looked.

Here's everything in the luggage container, including the tarps, and ext. cords on the ground.

An incomplete Xcelite USA mini-nut driver set, with some duplicates.

Continuing: (3) Estwing USA hammers; a Genuine Norlund tomahawk axe with original leather sheath; a Pennsylvania Saw Corp USA saw; a CMan USA 3/8 ratchet; and more.

View media item 40765

And the fastener case, and it's contents; of which all drawers are full. BTW, those 12x3 brass fasteners are 60 cents a pop if any one wants to buy one?!?

Yes, I'll be accepting all 'You ****' accolades.

So, I've learned two lessons today, no fishing on GJ, and simply, to buy in bulk.

Did really good this weekend at the flea market and a few garage sales. Picked up the stahwille box for $15. Grabbed a old snappy box for a buck that's beat up.

Nice.
The flex extension is hard to find, and the T-handle for the breaker bar is nearly impossible. Good score.

Straight wire wheel then oil rag wiped, my wheel is old and contaminated with grease/oil already so I just went to town on them.

Yes, I was very surprised at how complete they were. Can't decide if I want to let them go or not being this complete.
