So after getting everything fixed and lifted to the new 24" track they installed a new liftmaster which had the exact same humHe said that was weird and called a special tech support line for installers (not the girls that read scripts for homeowners). The technician asked if it was plugged into an extension cord and he said that was the problem (I have yet to run the plug). He said that the transformer will hum unless a special extension cord is used, I have know idea if that is correct but we'll see when I run it. The head guy made it a point to tell me that if it still hums after I have an outlet he will come back and find another solution, hopefully not all talk but he seemed like a good guy that cared for whatever that is worth.
What BS, mine 8500 is plugged in not hooked up to an extension cord, which still hums. I called Liftmaster yesterday and explained the humming issue and they were more than happy enough to send me a replacement transformer.

It is sad too b/c it should have been a fun time!
I believe her "logic board" is bad b/c we have reset her codes numerous times and while it works for a while after a few hours my openers can open her's again. This is not just my opener, but also both other buttons that are on a different frequency that I have not programmed so they are completely random codes opening her door as well. I know this is 100% her issue with her opener but I really like my neighbors and all they know is I installed a bunch of stuff and now their garage door is doing funny things so I want to be as helpful as possible.
