FINAL EDIT: Deals are dead. No more beating Amazon prices. What all did you guys score? And how many 7/32" GearWrench pass-thu sockets did you end up with? Let's see some pics!

Edit again: These are no longer showing up as giving the 15% savings on Amazon price-match items but lucky for us if you add an .84 cent Gearwrench pass-through socket to your cart, all of your other Amazon price-match items suddenly get 15% cheaper!

(old EDIT): I'm just gonna keep updating the OP with a few links to some stuff I come across if anyone's interested. 15% off Amazon pricing plus coupons is pretty sweet deal for some items. These are really just examples, there are a lot of other coupon-friendly Amazon price-match items with an extra 15% off. I just discovered that Sears is offering an additional 15% off of multiple tools they've already price-matched with Amazon.

This is basically unprecedented. Sears never allows additional discounts on Amazon price-match items. Even during Sears friends & family events (20% back in points etc.) the price-matched items were excluded and Amazon price-matched items are also usually not coupon friendly but right now they are!

So between 15% off, coupons, cash back and whatever deals you can sneak in, there are some seriously good deals right now...everything from specialty auto tools to power tools, this is a great chance to save some dough on name brands.

Let me know what you guys came up with :pimpflash

I'm just a heavy DIYer so I don't need those. Glad you found them cheap but item two seems crazy expensive.

Any feedback on those snap-ring pliers? I really want to buy a set of them instead of piecing them together. I see they are made in the US, are they any good?

I can't tell you about those pilers, but after talking to a couple of mechanic friends I bought the big Snap-on set. BTW, I am not a SO fan boy - in fact, those are the only SO tools I own. I was just frustrated with every other brand I tried.

So far, so good...

It is rumored that the Snap-On set is a re-branded version of the Kastar set above.

Guys the stuff in the OP is just examples from those brands. You'll have to search for the brand to see if there's anything they have that you're interested in. Here's a couple others:
Mastercool:
Mastercool HEATED DIODE ELECTRONIC LEAK DETECTOR W/UV LIGHT $46 or more less than Amazon
Mastercool ELECTRONIC CHARGING SCALE W/LEVEL $38 or more less than Amazon

Kastar
Kastar RETHREADER SPINDLE DIE SET 20PC 30% or better than Amazon
Kastar TRUCK WHEEL STUD INSTALLER KIT 30% or better than Amazon

Chicago Pneumatic
Chicago Pneumatic 3/4" Dr. IMPACT WRENCH Classic Series Made in Japan $90 or better than Amazon
Chicago Pneumatic Screwdriver 800 Rpm Classic line (made in Japan) $60 or more better than Amazon

OTC Specialty Automotive Tools
OTC 1545 Motorcycle Lift $36 or more less than Amazon
OTC 5609 Cylinder Leakage Tester Kit $17 or more less than Amazon
OTC 6295 Front End Service Set $30 or more less than Amazon

Gyros USA Drill Bits (& etc.)
Gyros 45-31315 Industrial Grade Cobalt 115 pc Drill Bit Set $61 or better than Amazon
Gyros 45-32325 Premium (Made in US) Industrial Grade Cobalt 25 pc Metric Drill Bit Set $47 or more less than Amazon
Gyros 45-31326 Industrial Grade Cobalt Drill bit set (26 piece) $36 or better than Amazon

There is a ton of stuff....Lisle tools, OTC, there's a bunch of small stuff to basically 15% cheaper than Amazon to start....and then you can use coupons and cash back (which you can't do on Amazon) so you're getting like at least 20-30% better than Amazon pricing just gotta do a little research. I'm still in the process of draining my bank account.

The snap ring pliers were doing funny things. Every time I clicked the link it would give me a different price, 58.**, 64.**, 63.**, now it's 69.10 consistently.

Mechanics Time Savers 5-row tray.

Price has been fluctuating between $39 and $44. Free shipping along with being SYR points and coupon friendly sets it apart from the competition. The price bumped up from $39 to $43 when I went to checkout so I called them up and they were happy to refund the difference.

Doesn't Lowes have something very similar for around $25?

Wow that's f*#@% sweet they refunded the diff! I see what's happening now...the prices on Amazon are changing which is why they are changing on Sears. Sears is giving a 15% from Amazon pricing on these items so the price is directly tied to the price on Amazon.

Literally bought the kapatars seconds after the price jumped to 81.00

Was able to do so because they were in my cart prior

I tried this technique again and was once again successful, this time with the Chat function. I added some spare MTS 3/8" posts to my cart when they were down momentarily to $9 along with some other items and right after I put my PIN in for the SYR points redemption, the price jumped up to $14. So I've been refreshing the page once in a while throughout the night and just recently, they jumped up to $17.99. I just opened up the Chat function and told them what happened, they said they would honor the last sale price of $14 but I refused and said I'd find them elsewhere. The guy said as a one time deal as I'm a valued customer (nah brah, this is time #2) he would honor the $9. Come to find out, I'm being reimbursed in SYR points but whatever, they'll be used.

It was only a small savings but I'm sure you guys could talk them back down. This price rollercoaster thing is annoying

yeah I believe they are using price grabber to go find the amazon price and adjust or match accordingly...very annoying to be in the middle of checking out then price jumps $20 or so. not worth my time or money.

In general I feel that Amazon has some of the lowest day to day prices. You can find cheaper, but it takes work (COSTCO memberships, coupons, sales, etc.). Amazon has kinda become the benchmark for pricing (even walmart price matches Amazon). I always do airline mileage rewards for my shopping (rather than cash back offers) and unfortunately you can't get those rewards through Amazon.

I'm very pleased that Sears price matches Amazon because I'm paying Amazon prices and get rewards on top (miles or cash back) so it's usually a couple points less than Amazon even with tax.

Amazon is totally blind luck if you happen to be on the website when the price of something drops...since it's not like Amazon offers 20%-off tools coupons or anything like that.

It definitely takes some work and patience with Sears...but I know a lot of guys on this forum have gotten some ridiculously good deals form Sears.

Since Craftsman is pretty much a wang chung off limits brand for me now, I've been watching some of the other stuff Sears carries that's still worth having, like the the made in Japan Chicago Pneumatic, a lot of the OTC, Kastar, Knipex...Sears still carries some good upper tier tools. This isn't the first time I've seen good deals on Sears...but it's the first time I've loaded up so much on stuff that wasn't Craftsman. I've never seen them allow their 15% off tools sale aswell as coupons on tools that were price-matched to Amazon (I try every time just in case).

Deals are back on! Just gotta at an .84 cent gearwrench socket and all of the other Amazon price match items will drop 15%

Could be the last chance to snag a set of those snap ring pliers if you've been mulling them over.

I hope some of you guys are getting in on these. Effectively 20% - 30% off Amazon pricing is pretty dang rare. I know people have their gripes about Sears pricing...but in the past as far as retailers go Amazon was nearly impossible to beat for your regular-inventory items (not craigslist, ebay, discontinued clearance, flooded warehouse, bankruptcy auction, estate sale garage sale pawn shop or the back of that guys truck I drove past in the alley (joking about the truck  ) Anyway point is lately I've been getting significantly (15% or more is my margin for significant) better deals from sears for stuff I like to spend money on and throw in a drawer...just gotta play the game.

I really went nuts on this one fellas...freakin tool buyin frenzy. It's NEVER a good idea to lose your cool but I did...anyway I think (or hope at least) I did ok and that it will be a while before I find brand-new stock at a better price. Feel free to post a link and pop my bubble if you find a better price on something I post though!

This thing is still hot men but I give it less than about 24 hours before it's a done deal, until the next wonderful Sears screw up. Yeah, I guess raking them over the coals might putt'm out of business and all, but man if I didn't get some nice tools outta them

Ok now for some of my orders! Oh yeah, I'm still shopping by the way...you should be too  You've really gotta hunt for these things now:

Method to get 20% - 30% better than Amazon:
1.) Stick one a these here .84 cent GearWrench PassThru sockets in your cart
2.) Look for NON-CRAFTSMAN tools that have a price that looks like...

$77.60
Amazon w/ shipping : $77.60

...and add it to your cart
3.) In your cart, click the "Price Breakdown" for the tool you just added. If you see:
Reg Price: $102.43
Savings: $24.83
$77.60
Online Only! Extra 15% off select tools Sold by Sears!
- $11.24

and the price is lower than the Amazon price, then you got yourself a deal! Stack some coupons and beat Amazon by 20% or better. So far it seems you can only get the extra 15% off amazon pricing right now by adding certain GearWrench products....one of which fortunately happens to be the cheapest one on the site. If you remove that socket from your cart you should see the price increase by 15%. Add it again and the discount is there. Gotta love Sears!

Oh yeah, the scores! Alright, here's one order...I'll post some more:

GearWrench 1/4 Inch Drive Pass Thru Ratchet Socket 9/32 inch Sears List price: $0.84 Effective price paid: $0.67

General Tools Video Inspection System DCS300 Sears list price: $125.95 Effective price paid: $85.43

Chicago Pneumatic CP781 Screwdriver 800 Rpm Classic series Made in Japan, yeah! Sears Ad List: $311.00 Effective Price Paid: $210.96

Total for these items was $350.74 OTD but got $41.79 back in points so effective total was $308.95. Not bad considering that's less than what Amazon is asking for the screwdriver.

More to come.
