Sort of an expensive lunch. $5 bucks for the two sets of plastic drawers full of fasteners, $25.00 for the Stanley 2101A brace, $10.00 for the Klien bin chock full of machine screws, copper washers, etc and the Cornwell TR3 1/4" ratchet.

One estate sale today. Results, everything USA: SK case with a few SK sockets; a random case (prob Asian); (2) Vise Grips - one for welding; (1) Proto 710-S 10" black adjustable; (1) Williams M-15 1/4" speeder; (1) Proto 1230 15/16 wrench; (2) Williams flares; (1) Blue Point Supreme S-1618M from 1960; (2) Stanley 100 Plus screwdrivers; (1) Irwin 400-6" flathead; (1) Snap On SSD2; and (3) Wiss shears, scissors, and Hy Power 908 Pruners.

Not a bad grab at $15. I find it funny that a month ago I had to buy, at the last minute, a 10mm flare nut wrench for a brake job which I ended up paying $10 from Sears online. In the store it was $20. I'm willing to bet these Williams flare nuts are better.

This SK is from the 60's, right? It's more blue than green, and came with the socket tray.

Hit an estate sale this morning and at a half hour before it opened I got number 50. I could not believe that this was still laying on the work bench when I finally got in.
The roll was seen better days cracked and worn, but it's there!
Cost me three bucks

Got up early and headed over to the east-side this morning. I was first in the door at an estate sale there and picked up some rusty gold. On the way out the door a guy waiting to get inside asked me if there was anything good inside.... I replied "Not anymore!" I love estate sale humor. The Vacuum/Fuel Pressure gauge I got a sale the other day.

Oh God, I could only imagine what pawnshops in NYC would want for Snap-On. It must **** when you walk into one and see a treasure, but know damn right well they are asking 10% less than retail for it. I see it ALL the time in Philly pawnshops.

you mean 15% over retail msrp

a beat dewalt trim saw that HD has for @ 100 they want 199 and no battery or charger

best thing i saw at a pawn shop was the DVD of the movie Gigli with Ben Affleck/J-Lo for 12.99

Wal-Mart near me trashed a whole bunch of them because they wouldn't sell

If you mean the blue case w/ the grips in it, I think it might be US made. I've got a Berzomatic kit from the 70's somewhere. That looks a lot like the case minus the Styrofoam liner inside.

:+1: Berzomatic case, good for carrying two long props camping, but no one really uses those anymore though...

Craigslist, but whatever. Perfect timing as I'm starting a floor this weekend and I was going to rent from HD.

From an antique store but I want to share, Craftsman underline C logo with circle H markings. 1/4" breaker bar and nine sockets, 7 six point and 2 eight point. I gave $5 for these and a set of Dunlap ignition wrenches since they were in the same bag.

Some good scores there!

I've been shifting through my tool collection and figuring out what i want to keep and what I want to get rid of. Along with what I need to fill out the rest of my sets!!

A lot of good stuff guys.

Chopper, what a find on that Plomb set with the pouch.

oak-park, great save on those Craftsman wood screwdrivers. In my travels the wood handle stuff and old amber/purple plastic Craftsman drivers are usually so worn out they're barely legible.

Only time for one local sale this morning. I'm babysitting my nephew this morning so my sister can get her grey hairs dyed. I had to pass up some good listings too. She owes me, big time !

The only thing I found was a little cast anvil, made in Japan, for $4. The color is 70's bright industrial green. I'm thinking I need to pick up a can of Hammered Verde Green for this one.

hit up some pretty awesome yard sales this morning. Just got home actually.

First pic, got lucky and snagged some International Harvester swag just in time for dad's day. 3 training manuals, an International Harvester refrigerator instruction manual (yes, they made them for a while), and an IHC adjustable wrench.

pic #2, four misc. S-K translucent green handle screwdrivers...long slotted, long #3 philips, stubby #2 philips, and a 1/4" socket driver handle. S-K 1/4 drive extension, maybe 6". Craftsman 3/8 L-handle with drives on both ends. 2 misc sockets, both 1/2 drive, OTC 15/16 and Plvmb 1". Finally the jewel, a Blue Point/Snap-On Kenosha 4" adjustable wrench. $10 for all in the 2nd pic :)

those air tools, do they rotate or just vibrate? They could be some kind of pneumatic etcher. Either that or pencil grinder, for deburring etc.

Upon further investigation they appear to be pencil engravers.

"The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat".

This time it was agony while I watched a decent Wilton C1 get sold for $10. (I was one of the first ones in the estate sale with no earlies but the sellers made an exception for a friend or neighbor - clearly a case of insider trading)

I couldn't resist this Rockwell (Pittsburg) see thru drill for $5. (store display model?? Or why the clear case?):

From a $1 table:

The ratchet looks like it came over on the Mayflower. How do you attach a socket? (male to male adapter??)

3/4" Drive CM Socket set - $10:

Dave sales sample almost certainly on the clear drill.

Cool find on the Long C Craftsman ratchet; and yes male/male adapters and extensions.

That was a find if it is original. Been searching for one for our Model A for years.

Its aluminum if that means anything. If its something hard to find for a project car I'll sell it. I was going to just hang it on the wall.

Here are some pics after I rinsed all the caked on mud and gime off.

I don't know much about them other than some of the originals can get pricey.

I hit one sale this morning and it seemed to be worth every minute of waiting. I was #3 and the first 2 guys headed inside for whatever, leaving me to myself in the garage. It was pretty packed with stuff and it was all old.

The vise looked low budget in the pictures but turns out to be a Dunlap that has similar characteristics that the very desirable Craftsman 519X series of vises have.

Other then the vise, i grabbed quite a few old Snap on and tons of Plomb, all with date codes except for 2 wrenches. the pile includes 2 ratchets, lots of 3/8" and 1/4" sockets, 1/4" driver, 1/4" extension

The hammer is a B & O Rail-Road ball peen and quite large at that. Its at least 32ozs

The other sockets are craftsman, Wright, Hinsdale, Snap on and Duro Chrome.

I also grabbed a few rolls of solder, Lampson & Goodnow Navy standard chefs knife, Bengall straight razor
