Did you happen to buy this on eBay in the last few months? I saw something very similar listed, and even considered buying it.
) ? I Would have certainly bid on that if I didn't already have this....Sounds like a huge order
.

.... err... Hazet Assistent![]()
Hmm... just for the record, I live in Sydney and have bought stuff online from Transquip who are in your state ? I'm pretty sure it all came via the shortest route ( -> Asia -> Europe -> USA -> Norway -> Buenos Aires - > Scotland-> Fremantle -> Sydney)
Welcome to the Hazet club.
They used to be pretty good, I bought from them about a decade ago and I always received goods the next business day (being in the same state). Perhaps things have changed?
Thank you , I am seriously also eyeing off the spanners..
Im reluctant to ask this... but... could you post the website you used to generate the sears $25 shipping. I did look at at an earlier link but it came back blank...
Hi north, im not 100% sure but as far as im aware the vast majority of their stuff is made now in taiwan

Jedi, there's nothing in that box to be ashamed of, regardless of where you live. Your stuff is top-notch by anyone's standards, even if it's not brands we usually see in my part of the world.
Matt, you've got a heck of a collection too, all the more so for your age - but if I may make a construction suggestion: you need to do something else with your micrometers and digital calipers. These are precision tools, and won't stand up to being piled up on one another in a drawer like wrenches. It won't be long before the faces get dinged up and you will have lost some of your hard earned investment. I realize real estate is at a premium in everyone's box, but those really need to be stored laying flat in a single layer at the least.

It's gonna cause me some grief with the wife but I cant resist!!
cheers...
Thanks. I have a vague memory of seeing a Sidchrome ASD set advertised as being made in the USA but maybe that was from an alternate universe.![]()
alot of their spanners look very similar to facom ones (they are the same company)Welcome to the Hazet club.
Next you're going to "need" Hazet tools

Fellow Aussies,
I got a hot tip, you now can buy from Sears.com - delivery to Australia is capped to $25 for orders above $100
Their tool selection is very extensive, although most Craftsman tools are now made in China.
Click here for direct link to Sears (make sure the Aussie flag is shown on top right). On home page, hover on top right link for "International Shipping Promotions" - it says weight restriction may apply but when tested by checking out hundreds of kilos of garage storage (tool cabinets, workbenches), it didn't complain - shipping is still $25.
Might be a system flaw?

Hi Jedi,
Can you please give me the reference / weight of the small hand sledge you have from Estwing and if you are happy with it ?
Thanks mate
Sutton make damn fine hole saws.. we use them at work in fairly harsh situations...
These look exactly like what some of the Austrians were using while they were over here helping us install the plant my work bought from them.

I come back to this thread full of Aussies,
is anybody, or does anybody know anybody, selling Australian made combinations in 21,22,23,27 or 32?
Or any sizes in AF?

Ring Dave at Qualitool in Geelong. If anyone would know it'd be him.
Sidchrome make those sizes but I'm pretty sure they aren't made in Oz any more but I might be wrong..
Aha! Masters is owned partially by Lowe's which explains the Kobalt tools.
Most of the Klein Tools are made in the USA.
Just found this, I have been buying tools since beginning my apprenticeship in 1978 and I have to say that any Stahlwille spanner has to be the best quality around although there are many fine quality tools out there.
Great thread
Not a big fan of stahlwille but heres a photo of my local tool shops stahlwille stand...
I think its time for some pictures. Here are some of my Lisle automotive tools. Lisle is a low priced USA brand, their tools are rather utilitarian.

He also has a section with run out priced stahlwille. I got a load of nut drivers which are my only stahlwille tools. I wont take a photo of that as it might tip you over the edge!!

I dont know of any NEW made spanners in Australia....
Agreed
I reckon for sure that display stand would look much better upright against a wall or something![]()
