I helped a good friend clean out his family members house, and amongst some rubbish I found this lovely green box....

The best part? My friend let me keep it.

I almost teared up alittle....It filled out my collection so well. It's almost a complete collection of SAE 12 & 6 pt, deep and shallow, and a sizeaable chunk of metric too

In addition to the very nice wire strippers, some extensions, and 4x SK ratchets. It has to be over $300.00 retail

I'm going to fill out my collection and take the appropriate doubles of stuff i want for the bottom of the tool box, and probably make some sets for GJ in the future.

Just wanted to share. Take care all

I always loved the SK Green boxes. I used to work at an auto parts store that sold a fair amount of SK tools. I kick myself for not buying more SK (with a discount).

My favorite stuff always comes by "chance" like that. I think I remember the A.J. Foyt endorsement shown there when it was going on, somewhere in the back of my brain. By the way, you ****.

Who knows?
Very nice man. Congrats.

Please pack your friend (with a matching set of SK toolage) into a crate and forward to NC. Don't worry about drilling air holes, it'll make it that much easier to get the tools!

I am continuously amazed at the great deals I see on here.

Having said that, I rarely do this: YOU ****!!!

Congratulations! Buy your friend a bottle or a case or something he likes...

And also sir, congratulations to you for being a friend to him to help clean out the family house. I have just gone through that with my childhood home, and friends that will help are rare and valuable.

Okay, so using the Dresser Industries statement on the label, we can assume the case, at least, is from '67-'85. Can we narrow down that time from using the AJ Foyt from the same label? The reason I ask is the SK logo. I always assumed the rectangular SK on those cases was from late 70's through the 80's. Now were seeing it's possibly late 60's as well? Nice find, btw.
