My old Blundstone boots are going home to make way for these brand new ones. The most comfortable work boots I've worn. Comfortable enough to wear all day long.

Cornwell long Hex ball sockets. The standard case is mismarked. Got both for $100. Thanks to ruger im going to have to get a rail for each...

Nice! Yeah  I went a little rail crazy... NAPA Carlyle sells 25 pc bags of rail clips for really cheap so I got some of those too to fill up a few more spots on the rails.

Nice to find a cheaper alternative to the matco versions though. Eventually I'm going to run out of the 'eh **** it just take them'.

Never heard of that brand, but looks like Redback has some local competition! How much do those run?

Not by any means economical....$190 CAN, including taxes. I still have my first pair that I've worn for nearly 2 years and they are still solid. I only got another pair as I'm fortunate enough to get a boot allowance from my employer.

Just did a search for store locator in the US: http://www.blundstonesafetyfootwear.com/store-locator

Ouch. I have a couple of sets of Redbacks, which I love (and live in). Found an Australian retailer on eBay that I got my steel toed set for $100 shipped.

I believe these have been discontinued. You may be able to order individual pieces. I've always bought mine off ebay. I'll check the numbers.

Thanks anyway. The only individual pieces I could find on the Snap On site were different length bit holders. No actual blades (phillips, torx, etc.) like in your set. I guess I'll just have to cruise Ebay and hope they appear. I have a handle but those blades sure would make a nice truck box set.

SnapOn man got to me today, new borescope. Has 2 cameras, one on the end and one on the side. Been wanting one of these for a while. Already used it to get numbers off a temperature controller, this is going to be a heck of an aggravation saver :rocker: $800.00 :willy_nil

It really is the dog's ********. The cameras are super sharp, it refocuses perfectly as you go, you can take video with sound, and the game changer for me is the selectable side camera. No more mirrors. I just had a case last week where I had to remove a rather large servo drive from an enclosure to get a serial number off of it. This would have been perfect. Biggest trouble is going to be shuffling it between work and home.

I'm just jealous. I'd love to have one and have been looking around at some cheaper options since I'm not a pro by any means, but the pickings are slim for anything decent

Sounds like a really awesome setup

That Streamlight Stylus Pro is awesome! You will love it in the shop, under the hood, under the dash. Bright and focused.

I find I often want to hold it in my teeth so I have both hands free...so, I added a short piece of thin rubber tube over the top end to better bite on. Now, the only problem is slobbering. (try it and you will see what I mean) But, I can sure see what the hell I am doing.

Lol I bough out two home Depot and two sears in the area and still didn't have enough when I did mine.

I know what you mean I do it all the time, and no a headlight is not good enough when you are upside down laying on you're head trying to see what the hell you are doing under a dash.

Just got this nice little Wiha ratchet. Bought it secondhand for €20, looks brand new, only one torx bit seems to have seen some use, albeit very limited. Nice :D

Immediately opened it up, thought I'd put some grease in there.
Turns out the ratchet really doesn't like that, no more ratcheting, had to clean it all out again

Also a cheap top-craft set, already kind of regret it. Anyway, 't was dirt cheap

Yeah, those fine tooth pawl type ratchet mechanisms do better with a light oil than grease.

What cab you see with your mouth that you can't with a headlight? Just curious. Only a couple inches apart.

Just got this today. Awesome little light when all I need is a little but of light. Actually shined a lot more than I expected.
Perfect for those times u need to hold a light in ur mouth.
I too never wear a spotlight on my head. I had one and never used it and sold it.

Streamlight microstream. $17 bux from my local atlantic tactical. These lights are the best. No wonder law enforcement swears by them

I was looking for a 1 1/4" Snap On deep socket to complete my set, but everything on eBay was junk. Then I spotted this set of five from 1 /1'4"-1 1/2". My shallow set goes to 1 1/2" so now I'm set for anything.

Picked up this used JET 7"x12" horizontal band saw this afternoon from plastic auto parts manufacturers, maintenance dept. The guy said he's only ever seen the saw used a half dozen times since they have a big 3 phase horizontal band saw. The saw looks brand new and cuts perfectly square, this is a big upgrade from my abrasive saw.

Ya you right, I used it a couple times under hoods and it performs just as well in rooms. I'm always torn between my mini-mags or this.

We bought that same saw for the shop about 3 years ago. Certainly not the big 3 phase production shop kinda saw, but it's pretty darn good for what it is.

You'll want to use the coolant system, if possible, too.
