No need for a shrink to figure out what to do, just buy another box to keep them in.

i was going to say that..... actually i just bought 2 more top chests and now they dont share a drawer with my cutters, needle nose and regular pliers. hahah.

i usually fill the box up, then start to sell off a few things here or there, then fill it up again. its a thrill.

Local Craiglist find, paid $100 for these Kennedy's:

In great shape. Nice and heavy. The guy bought them new when he was in high school.

Classic, he may have bought one of them in HS, but those are anywhere from a decade to 2 decades apart... :see:

Nice finds though! I'd have bought both and made two of my rollers match the tops! (I have two of the top box type rollers and the bottom's top and intermediate!)

That top with those pulls is mid to late 50's possibly into the 60's, AFAIK.

My top and mid like the bottom I bought new early 80's IIR

I must've misunderstood the guy then. Or just remembered wrong :)
Here's some more shots if they'll help with age ID. No Kennedy badge anywhere I've seen yet.

Thanks!

Nice setup. Lookin' must have been sleeping that day.

Well in all fairness we don't know how long HS was for the seller. :lol_hitti

To me the box pictured in the last post says mbc to me but I will let others confirm that...

No, they are both kennedy boxes. The top is an old version of their classic 260

These were in the Greenville area so luckily I beat him to them! Plus I saw them about 20 minutes after they were posted :lol_hitti So I was the first one to make an offer, needless to say. The top box alone weighs like 60 pounds, a little heavier than the Craftsman my parents gave me last year.. :pimpflash

Well it turns out that Jakemac was right after all. Another weekend came and I couldn't help myself from going over to the neighbors house to buy more junk.

I could of sworn there would be nothing left to buy of any value but I guess I was wrong. This Rimac valve spring compressor was buried on the workbench and I've overlooked it every day I've been there

This is only one item from that day but goes to show what is still laying around the shop. Everything was taken apart, cleaned, painted, lubed and reassembled to like new.

Not bad for 5.00:drool:

I didn't findit like that! I just treated it like any bench vise I would get my hands on and made it look like new

I've got some other items getting cleaned up now but I'll try to get a picture of everything from that day for the garage sale thread

Scored this crown top box for $20 from the p-shop. It even had it's original key. It had a bunch of stickers on it that I took off but it was too good to pass up. I think I will put it into use!

It did come with a kennedy key and lock mechanism that I have no use for so if someone can use it I will send it to you for free if you pay shipping.

Picked these up as well with the box. Total was $31 for everything. P&C sockets, proto brake bleeder wrench, proto doe, matco lady foot pry bar, Blackhawk flare nut wrench, mac impact socket, and a snap ring tool?? it has little tips like snap ring pliers and you screw the red handle in and out to open or close the jaws. Any one know what it is for and the manufacturer??

Also scored these in Washington this weekend for $4. Includes plvmb 9/16ths wrench, plvmb socket, 2 craftsman 1/2 metric sockets

you ****! That's an awesome box and can't believe it still has the original key. Makes you wonder how all that ended up in the pawn shop.
Great find!

Great find!

For sure it makes me wonder. They had $25 on it but I talked them down:drool: since it had so many stickers on it and needed to be cleaned up. I think some of the tools I got where probably part of that lot. I did not really need another box but for that price I could turn it down.

All this suckage... It's a weird kinda love, but I'm feelin' it! :D

Different Saks store, but did you know that the Mall of America is currently expanding? Because 4.87 million sqft of shopping isn't quite enough!
