I messed around with it today and fell in love. The number one reason I bought it was that the magnet is VERY strong. I have a Cornwell one that I was using but hated. The magnet is on the back of it and it doesn't flex so it's very limiting as to where you can put the light and not blind yourself. Plus, the magnet is so weak, if you look at it wrong, it falls off.
The Blue Point one will be with me for a very long time and looks like it'll take the beating. It has a kick stand which I'm sure I'll barely use, but the fact that it's bright, rugged, flexes, water/dust resistant, rechargeable (micro USB), and has a powerful magnet in it makes this a home run in my book.

Thanks for the info man. I'm trying to gauge how much I'd use them. If I got them I'd be going with a cheaper brand than S.O.

No kidding? I know these are for "seals" in general, but are there a few particular types of seals that these prove especially useful for in your work?

The thing is, I use them for everything else and only once in a blue moon do I actually use it for seals. Basically everything u use a small flat tip screwdriver for I use that on. It's great because of the rounded tip. You don't ever scratch anything. I use it to help pop off electrical connectors, pry off little trim pieces, stick inside coolant hoses, pop up fuel line quick disconnects, depress schrader valves, push in the center pins on those center pin clips...then pop the entire clip out,....................I could keep going on but u get the idea. Now don't get me wrong, they are great for seals but even better for everything else
I wouldn't bother with the set. I would say the offset ones are useless. Just get urself the short straight one. 10bux
You can get the long one but I use the long one maybe once for every 50 times I need one.

For me I do engine rebuilds I only bought them yesterday but I used them all day today and they have been awesome, the engines we build have the valves right down the bores so when I have to do a leak down test there great for cleaning out the grinding paste also there great for removing orings dot have the worry of piercing the rubber, for the price on offer of 24 pounds they are one of the best purchases this year

good to see the light sabres are showing up in Canada! I ordered both sizes in orange so hopefully will be getting a call from my driver soon to go pick them up!
how are you liking it so far?
Haven't had much use yet but I'm loving the fact that it doesn't take 4 hours to charge like my BluePoint ones do. It is also slightly brighter (800 lumen vs 700 lumen) at lower LED count (90 vs 128). Now I'm probably going to sell the BluePoints.
I didn't like the fact the rack is much bigger, but whatever. If you have the 14.4v battery system, get the Snap-on. If you don't mind using the cord when the battery is out, get the BluePoint.
3 hours. Which is great because the battery charges under an hour.
You bet, I refuse to work under the hood without one of these bad boys.

I use those seal tools a fair bit. Some of the other ideas are great, too.
I will also say that I do use all of the set, but only for very specific situations of seal work, like weird spots inside hydraulic components. They work best for places where fingers won't fit and any other tool risks cutting the seal / o-ring.
Would you guy's happen to have the part # of this light? I can't seem to find it on the SO website.

Price is great.
Have one of these and I am afraid I don't like it. Tips over very easy. Wheels too small. Seat cushion uncomfortable.
But I am 6'3" and 220 lbs so may be my fault.

I hear you about stability. One of the reviews said not to roll on it while you're sitting on it, yet the wheels just "make it easier to move and you don't dump all your tools on the floor"
I only work on my bike in the garage, so the wheels will really only be to move it back and forth from the spot where I store the stool, to the bike and back.

A bit of Deja Vu. Another toolbox and screwdrivers. I had emailed Excel just to let them know some of the problems I saw on the first box I got. They had me take some pictures of it and send them. I was happy to and told them a few times I was fine with the box as is. Considering it was a just a cheap toolbox and was just going to get more beat up anyway. But they insisted on sending me a new one. They also said to keep the old one because they only wanted the pictures anyway. So I got the new box and still have the older one as well. The new box is in better shape than the last but just alright. but I will say the customer service at Excel was top notch (Thanks Wendy!). I was then getting some Christmas lights at Ace and saw these screwdrivers were back at $5 a pop so I got some as backups or loaners.

I like that 2 sided mallet. I bought a similar style hammer I use for hardwood flooring. I wish I saw a mallet option.

Pricey day at the welding supply shop. Went in to get a spool of ER70s and left with a new Lincoln Viking 3350 helmet, Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 82 plasma cutter, Rennsteig automatic center punch and a jacket.

My snap on man came back from a 2 week vacation today.
Didn't really need anything but of course I can't get on the truck and leave empty handed. 20mm deep impact for those swelled up 19mm lugs and a magnet pocket screwdriver
