Note that these are only 20" tall, so that makes it more of a stump than a stool. :)

If these were 30" or taller, then I'd have a use for them.

Any of you guys think it's possible to install some casters on this thing?

I bought 2 of them today and assembled one of them a few hours ago. They're around 28" tall and pretty sturdy. The tubing doesn't seem flimsy at all ( but I haven't measured the thickness), so I don't see why you couldn't throw some casters on if you wanted to.

The only downside is the seat padding is very thin and I plan on adding more to the one for my workbench. At $18 a pop, it's a solid deal.

Adding a couple Husky stools to the garage. Much better value than the Gladiator stool

One for the basement workshop, one for the garage workshop. Done and done.

Based on reviews, it sounds like the padding is pretty poor. Anybody have one yet to verify?

What? Have you not seen reruns of Macgyver and the A-Team? Anything is possible. This is a good price on stools because one thing I have noticed is when it comes to the garage or the house somebody decided that stools are going to be the most expensive GD piece of furniture available.

I grabbed one a little while ago when I was at HD getting a few other things. The padding is thin but bearable. It might be about 1/2 thick but it will work for my needs.

Just about the right height for working at the work bench. Or just setting around having a beer or two. Think I'll pick up a couple for the shop.

I order 2 for pickup yesterday. Already have them assembled. Quick and easy, seat could use a little more cushion but solid for the price.

Got 2 yesterday. Agree with the above ... a little thin on the padding but not bad.

I had to hit 2 stores; should have called first. Online inventory and in store inventory showed 4 at the first store, but no one could find any!

This weekend I put this stool on casters. I went to Ace and picked up some plastic caster inserts for the legs, 3/4 in size. Also picked up 4 casters rated at 75lbs each. Went home, popped off the leg caps, put in the inserts then put the casters inside of them. I like it WAY better now but I still catch myself picking it up to move it as I am not used to it having wheels yet.

The caster inserts I used are pictured below. After that just pick your casters and you are done.
