I had a delivery show up today to take up the second space for the winter. The truck is mine, the car is my father's. He just bought it back for the third time. He was the original owner back in 1970 and the second time he bought it, he didn't know it was the same one.

Like father, like son...seems not to apply when it comes to manufacture preferences.
But you truck is just as sweet...old school rides are making that garage look good!

Over the course of the Thanksgiving week off (Vacation, Holiday), I dropped 3x 20 amp circuits to my basement shop, two specifically for the lighting. One was to relieve a circuit "on the edge"..

Nothing spectacular, but a lot of work....

Great looking space Dennis. Cool basement shop!

First I finally got around to building an addition on the blast cabinet so I don't have to blast outside this winter.

This car is what got me hooked on old school rides, and it looks like my 20 month old son has the bug too.

It's not going anywhere. Sounds like it's being handed to me and then to be passed on to my son. Going to be in writing so I can't sell it either.

Thank you rmalkow2! :D The initial reception has been overwhelming to say the least! A mere 19 hours after posting the teaser debut in only three places, the list would already have nearly 40 people on it between GJ (6), FaceBook (19) and ForABodiesOnly.com (14).

They ARE in hand and available right now -- at least 11 of 'em are anyhow (I'm keeping one) -- but I need to get over to the Post Office with a few random Zip Codes tomorrow to determine the selling price before I can begin actually fulfilling orders. I'll post up a new thread tomorrow.

It's about 8 deg outside today. Currently working on wiring and insulating the upstairs of my garage. Before heating the work area to 40 deg, it was 18 deg with the sun shining in. Hoping to get more insulation in before it gets really cold outside. Was 20 below the other morning.

You could ship in a flat rate foam priority envelope for $5.35 (from memory) and USPS provides the envelope!

Walked in and started looking my Pex crimping tools, now I need to look and see if I can find the motivation to go do something after an 80.25 hour work week....

Wow, some really neat shops, mine is pretty bad, but have been busy. Transfered some gauge faces for the FJ40 restore, and added a copper gasket to a brake hose.

I got the blower fan and water pump to the shop radiant heat source wired and working before dark. Now if I could get some time off during the daylight I might be able to get the water lines hooked up and add the smoke stack. Then I'll need to add a thermostat and wood for heat.

Got my air lines run along the walks and finally connected my new compressor. What a new garage without a new compressor. Oh and I screwed around with my dad's 1970 mustang again.

Well it was a busy weekend I got a lot of things done. To start with I finished pulling the motor out of the Ramcharger. View media item 45832View media item 45837Then I put all the parts for the TR6 together for the new owner because I sold the project to make room for a new one more to come on that.
View media item 45835Then I put up some wall art to remind me of the TR6's that I have been working on over the last several years. View media item 45836I then put up a couple of hand me down Bose speakers to supplement my shop tunes. View media item 45833And finally I welded an old jack handle to my engine hoist to keep the legs from going to far back and making storage easier. View media item 45831Other than that I didn't get a lot done.

Daily driver Lincoln got new tires last week...today was new brakes day. Also gave me a chance to really clean the back sides of the wheels. New front rotors and pads....painted the calipers and brackets.

(For those interested...still no resolution the ABS issue yet...but my tech is researching as am I)

I'll compare it tomorrow with the padded ones I got tonight.

Best rates are USPS Media mail. Calendars would qualify.

The 2013 Garage Poster Calendars didn't so I'm not holding my breath on these new ones Outlawmws. :( It's some way they construe advertising or something.

If sent as advertising (free) it would be different. As purchased media, (paper) it should be fine.

It's also not like the check, unless they suspect someone is shipping metal or other non paper items. heck even mag tape, and records qualify as media.

I'm taking one of them to the Post Office and will find out in a bit!!! Everything I can do to keep the costs down just means one thing: More money to spend on something else for your ride! :D

Today in my garage, I only had a few hours before I had to leave for work. I managed to get out the instructions for my new pneumatic 18 gauge brad nailer :) I read them all the way through, then loaded it up with 1 inch brads and went to town on some pallet boards I had laying around. I'm excited to start using it for small woodworking projects.

I performed oil changes on 2 of the DD's around here.

This was the first time I've done the oil on a 2000 Buick Century and it's rough while the vehicles on the ground. No access to the Oil Filter from above and I needed a hinged forearm to get it from below. Got it done though.

Then I did the 2006 Chrysler T&C van. I should have stopped when I didn't recognize the Oil Filter (which means it was done by a local garage). I didn't have a filter cup that fit the filter and it was on there TIGHT!!!!! I mangled the filter with a strap wrench and I had to run to Harbor Freight at 5:15 PM on a Sunday night for some help . . .

http://www.harborfreight.com/locking-oil-filter-wrench-66570.html

That got it off and I finished the job. Say what you want about HF, having one 10 minutes from home is PRICELESS.
