Somewhere nice
Guy had one on the jobsite the other day, had just got it. It's pretty disappointing next to any of the other Milwaukee LED offerings, even so cheap.

Yeah, have both and would not recommend this at all.

You know you can retrofit an LED bulb for a few bucks, right?

It won't be as even as the stick light, nor will total output be as great because it won't have proper heatsinking, but for $18-20, its another cheap source of light.

Got a link to a decent replacement bulb?

Those of you complaining that this flashlight is not as good as milwaukee's other offerings for flashlights, would you mind posting up which ones you guys have and like? I have 3 milwaukee batteries already and have been wanting a rechargeable light for working under the car. I hate replacing the AAAs in the light I use right now.

What's the cheapest you guys are getting the stick light for? (and where?) I want this for Christmas from the wife and kids.

I have the same exact light that I installed the LED bulb into and I could not be any happier.

I am a HD Diesel Mechanic and this is a must when I work at night. I took out the magnet...it worked so damm well I forgot to take it off. $100 right out the window (non LED). Bought new one, battery and LED bulb and I love it! I can see right down the end of a trailer with it!

Ok so I bought one of these tonight used my Hf 20% coupon and then drove to Hf for a replacement led bulb and used a coupon there too. I must say with the incandescent bulb it wasn't very bright. With the led bulb huge difference. I have right at $20 bucks in this thing and I think it will work out great. Especially Now since i have a extended life battery from the kit from Black Friday. It will make a nice base for the flashlight to be upright.

Do you have a link to the HF LED bulb?

+1

This M12 worklight looks exactly like my Bosch 12V worklight....would love to convert both of them to LED if cheap enough and leave one of them in the house and one of them in the garage.

Can't imagine Milwaukee making a non-LED light. They're probably phasing it out and liquidating remaining stock

Yeah, they sell largely the same light, with an LED bulb, for $40.

The reflector is DRAMATICALLY different to maximize LED light pattern. You'll never achieve the awesome light distribution by just throwing an LED bulb in the Xenon light. Not to say that upgrading is a bad idea for a budget solution.

Yeah, that doesn't really bother me. This is a close quarters light, I have the Snap-On 2000 lumen work light if I want to light up my whole work area.

Yea, better off buying a light designed for LED bulbs. I tried upgrading an old mag light with an LED Bulb and it was a total waste of money.

I'm very happy with the light. I have used it a couple of times already and very pleased. It may not be as bright as the led verision. But sometimes a light can be to bright. And I just can't justify big money for a rechargeable light. If I need a bright light I plug my corded light in.

So it looks like a standard 12v P13.5S bulb (technically 14.4v 0.8A).

This is the bulb I used in this light. I remember the price being lower but I will tell you that it works. In fact any 10, 12, 14.4 or 18v cordless tool set that comes with a light this is probably the bulb you need. Every one that I have seen at least.

Recently grabbed the $79 Milwaukee 4.0ah battery with led flashlight deal at HD, mainly to get an extra 4.0ah battery. I also own the Craftsman C3 incandescent flashlight (not so great!), and the Cman Nextec fluorescent worklight (really great!) and NEXTEC led light (no complaints), along with about a dozen of the freebie HF led flashlights and a couple Maglights. I think I'm pretty well covered in this category, but thanks anyway OP!

I got the same 4.0 XP deal. That was a good price. I also got $10 off from a local coupon.

It's a great deal considering the battery sold separately is normally anywhere from $99 and up. I believe actual list is $129. Then, the flashlight sold seperately is $50. Been at most all of the HD's in my area multiple times over the last week, and still seeing these on the shelves! Guess there's not much demand for a great deal on an extra 4.0ah battery along with a basically free $50 flashlight??? :dunno:

Agreed. Seems weird and I wish I saw it before ordering just a 4.0 batt. from CPO.
