I have a question: how loud are the machines and the cutting process. Right now all I have is an angle grinder for all my cutting and it gets annoying after 10 minutes of cutting 1/4" steel.

Going to look into this more tomorrow. I know a freight broker, and know how to get things from China. Will start another thread on it to get a buy going if I can get it done. Seems like there is enough interest. I'm interested in doing a buy for the Cut 50F since it is pilot arc. If there is enough people for other models we can look into that as well

About as loud as an air nozzle set to 60 psi. Not loud at all. I have hearing damage as it is and with an angle grinder I have to use hearing protection. With the plasma its no problem. I used it a ton today cutting angle iron freehand to make some pieces. Sure beats cutting the old way.

From what I have been told ESAB is who they copied the torch from. Honestly, I have one of these things and finding consumables on ebay shipped directly from China is the way to go. You cut out the middlemen and they are dirt cheap.

I think the key would be to see if there are major brand consumables that fit this unit. If there are, then it's a great deal. If it fails, you can just buy a new one I guess since warranty could be interesting. If it was within the year, I think ebay should help back the buyer.

Update on the chinese cut 50 pilot arc plasma unit. Still going strong. I used up all of the wheel on my Makita chop saw today and needed to cut some 3/16 flat bar. So I broke out the plasma and zipped through them in seconds with the unit set at 38. I am building a Waverunner garage dolly now so I can remove one of the two Waverunners from the double trailer when i want to take them out by myself.
