Greetings everyone. New member here, I'm 17 and pretty new to everything. I bought my first vehicle (96 ranger, pictured) about a year ago and that got me interested in mechanics and tools.
My dad is pretty handy and he and I build and fix things all the time (from giant pergolas to 20 foot tall shelves and everything in between) . Still I would love to learn things from people on here as well.
Right now my tools are pretty limited, most of what is pictured as been bought in the last two months. When I bought my truck I just got a cheap Stanley socket/ratchet set. Which I'm working on straying away from, replacing it mostly with Kobalt and Craftsman.
Hopefully in the next month or so I can upgrade to a "big boy" tool box, from my three drawer warrior.
I look forward to learning all I can, any advice/tool suggestions or threads of interest would be greatly appreciated!
Here are my tools, minus some stuff I keep in a tool bag in my truck for roadside emergencies.
Hammer, wd-40, torx sockets, alan wrenches, breaker bar, tape measure and pressision screw drivers
Stanley sockets and ratchets (plus one kobalt ratchet lol), various extensions and whatnot. Most of this will probably go into my junk yard bag and will be replaced with some nicer tools when finances permit.
Wrenches, kobalt ratchet wrenches and some Stanley wrenches (again, going into the junk yard bag to be replaced eventually)
Screwdrivers... You already know what brand and where it's going. Along with Kobalt pliers.
Sorry for a long post/being image heavy. Just trying to be very thorough. Like I said, any advice is appreciated! Looking forward to lurking and learning.
