Well if it takes 800 foot lbs I'm ok with that. Once that happens then I'll get the snap on 36" bar....but that's when that happens lol

I just like taking stuff like that apart when it's new and cleaning the threads/loctite so I don't have any issues in that department

The 3/4 is the truth. Im pretty sure its unbreakable. We were breaking loose a Hub off a 545D and we had a 8 foot steel pipe and (3) 240+ pound guys hopping on it until it finally broke loose

To follow up on this, I noticed what happened. There are metal clips inside the battery compartment on the m12 tools that hold the handle together. The bottom clip on my m12 fuel impact driver fell off somehow. Looks like that part is less than a dollar.

If it's the part I'm thinking of, then yeah, it probably costs about $0.10 to make, at most

I think the craziest bolt I've ever seen was the crank bolt on a 545i. Had 210K miles on it / 10 years

Took 6+ feet of black iron pipe and the engine stand chained to a hoist to hold it still. 3/4 ratchet. I was hanging from the end of the pipe, literally up in the air jerking on it until it finally broke loose. Sounded like a gun going off and I thought it had snapped.. but it came out. I really wish I had video'd it

Whoo-hoo doggy!

Yikes. Looks like a awesome product, but I think I'll have to pass! I mainly wrench for fun and don't have that kind of coin for wrench racks!

Glad you got 'em though. They look awesome!

I have had cheap ones for years, the foam ones worked the best and they had double sided tape. but after a few years maybe even 5 years they start to fall apart, I have a few big sets like 22 wrenches. I now can read them easy its not hard to get them out each one is magnetic and the holder is magnetic so it does not move. and you can slide them up and down the rail
and they are 28" long. hope that helps

Those wrench racks are made by EZ Red. They are re-branded as Bluepoint and Mac and probably others. I have never seen the 24 though only 10 and 15

What you have is probably real good for a mechanic. What I have I believe is perfect for a home use . They're plastic. Don't move. Still read the Wrench's easy. Easy to get out etc

Damn, every time I log into this site, I end up buying more tools. Now I need to buy some way cool wrench racks. Beats the hell out of trying fit my SK wrenches into HF wrench racks. Thanks for posting that up. I like them.

The first arrival of hopefully more to come. I am just starting to build up a collection of quality tools. I have a fairly stocked Craftsman box as it is, but any additions I'll be making will be thought out (in my eyes) and seen as an investment. Nothing crazy here, but I'm excited nonetheless!

Today's Delivery:
Makita 12v drill/impact combo, Channellock 526 6.5" slip joints, Armstrong Maxx 1/4" and 3/8" ratchets, JH Williams (disappointed to see "Taiwan") 3/8" metric socket set, Wiha 1/4" and 3/8" metric hex bit socket set, SK T25 socket, and some Wera 1/4 drive bits for use with the impact driver.

Next on the list are a vise, mini pliers, files, torque wrenches, and of course - more bike tools. The goal with this is to equip the home workshop well enough that I'd rather work on my personal bikes at home than at the shop. And of course I want to have this stuff for other purposes as well, but bikes are obviously the driving force behind it.

Tons of great reading on this site and I'm extremely glad I was able to find it when I did. Sorry for the dissertation here but I'm very excited to be a part of this great community!

Did you have to warranty that screwdriver? I remember you bought the set of 4 a while back

No... I lost it :( I think I left it in my coveralls pocket on a Saturday, uniform guy picks them up on Monday and it was the middle of the week before I noticed it gone.

Bummer man :( have they been holding up well? I like the price of them. I have the craftsman pro ones and use them all the time but want the two bigger sizes which they don't make.

I got this Craftsman fan clutch set off Cripe's eBay store. Sears doesn't sell these anymore (which is odd; aren't they a fairly common tool?). It's a lot bigger than I thought; it's too wide for a 26" toolbox, so I'll have to find a place to put it.

It was $32; half of that was shipping, but it's still cheaper than all the comparable sets I've seen.

Not since the lisle air hammer set came out.

I personally just use an air hammer and long chisel bit. Finding the correct wrenches takes too much time

I guess so. I checked on their actual website. They still have them there, but the shipping is through the roof!

Did either of you guys try asking them for actual shipping cost? It says it right on the front page of their site to add to cart and call (or hit the "Request Total" button on eBay). They're really good about finding the cheapest flat rate box/envelope they can fit everything into.

I just got a response this morning that my $16 estimated shipping was dropped down to $7, which is significant for a $30 order.

Nothing much just bored and figured I would waste some time posting this and some of yours for reading it.

Ruined the finish on the 10mm by leaving in the Purple Power overnight so I popped in the store and got a new one.
