At big head and van steele, here's the same concept with a much better design and thought process..

I have a metric set of these and when they fit, they are an awesome wrench. Very handy for reaching around a corner you just can't get at. And I can see where those other units would work too, but think it would be hard to control twist with that style, maybe not.

Went on the bay and pulled the trigger on this set, last one according to the auction info

I'm new and looking at all of the pasts posts when I saw this.

I have that same set in metric and fractional. I bought them about 8-10 years ago. They have served me well. Too bad Lowe's went the Chinese route. The U.S. Kolbalt stuff was really nice.

View media item 47809Went to my local independent tool shop yesterday to look at cordless stuff and came away with this little lot.
Empire square
Stabila scaffold level
Wiha folding rule
Boa jar opener
Felo VDE bit holder, found under the shelving very dirty and a little beat up
SK 1311 1/4" metric sockets, again something you don't expect to find in a UK tool store. Does have 2 5mm in it though, usual packaging mistake from SK from what I have seen.

The only bad part was the price, £94 for that little lot.

[/IMG] Found about the tool in the middle from a friend who works on planes. It is perfect for removing interior pieces from cars. It is extremely thin but very strong.

My dad gave me these Mac flare nut wrenches. He had 3 of a 4 piece set. I found the missing one for $13 shipped on ebay. It will be here tomorrow.

Some new stuff I picked up this week: 2 more Richard brand pry bars from Ollie's (that makes 5 singles plus the 3 piece set; I can't help myself), 2 Milwaukee brand locking pliers, and a Lisle oil pressure sensor socket.

I couldn't find much for reviews on Milwaukee brand locking pliers, so I figured I would torture them myself and find out how good they are.

No kidding, well that explains why I never see a SAE set on sale and I'm always on the look out as I'd luv to have a set. :dunno: :lol_hitti

I got mine from Woot for 60?. I love me most all of GW's products to a certain extent. But not enough to pay retail that's for sure. So whenever a set goes on sale for a decent price, I'll pick them up.

And for whatever this means. To date my only disappointments have been their torx set and I'm only ok with their non ratcheting wrenches, fitment isn't all that great but acceptable for everything except a super tight situation or where fastener finish needs to be considered. The last minor B I got is their swivel sockets aren't all that great either. Articulation can be a battle of anger management when you need it.

Who makes that trim tool in the middle and where did you pick it up?
I don't know the maker. Me and the guys in my shop went in together and ordered 18 of them online. They were $6 each shipped. I can check in the morning and see where we got them.
That's a skin wedge. Used in aviation.
That's what my buddy said. It is perfect for taking off dash pieces and door panels or anything else in a car. You can grab it by the ends and pull all you want and it won't bend. It is amazing how strong it is. It is so thin that you can slip it into the smallest openings and pry.

I do have an saw set similar to those metrics. But theyre standard length combination wrenches. And are... Chinese cman.. :(

I also have gw combination wrenches. Also Taiwan mande. Fit and finish have been great. Bought both sets for $120 shipped. About 35 wrenches total. Love em.

Got the swivel sockets as gifts too. From the same woman. haven't had an issue with them. But I can only rember using one or two of them so far.

I have this kit myself and works great, except I filed off some of the magnets so the laser part of the tool and the "receiver" so it could sit on the pulley better

I had to do the same today.. Wouldn't sit flush on smaller pullies. Seemed to work pretty good.. We'll see if I manage to stop destroying belts now (supercharged corvette, hehe :))

Dropped by my Snap On guy's house today to pick up some under-lift stands. Stands are still in his shop (boxes were bigger than I thought-no room) but he made sure I didn't go away empty handed

Went through the pliers drawer the other day and I probably had to toss 5lbs of pliers that were beyond functioning. I hated having to spend a bunch on pliers but I splurged on a bunch of Channellocks and a couple of the Cresent brand one to try them out.

I have been contemplating that borescope, I have used the older one with the tiny screen and while it works ok the screen is tiny, also I read this one takes pics, you should take a picture and upload it/review the unit :)

Also I hope my new ratchet/socket set shows up tommorow.

The screen size and resolution of the older unit was one of the big reasons I never bought one and stuck with a cheap one I bought years ago. This one's worlds ahead for sure. and yes, it does take pictures and saves to a micro SD card. It has a USB card so I'm assuming I can upload to my PC. Going to try it out tomorrow so I'll definitely take a couple pics and upload them.

bought one of these to replace the little 13" craftsman bag i've been using in my jeep

old bag was just a cluttered mess of tools this is much easier to have some level of organization

plus i can see the shoulder strap being handy during trips to the salvage yard

check with the http://www.yardstore.com/search.htm they are a used/surplus outfit in Wichita, KS, they buy stuff from the aircraft assembly lines. Even if their website doesn't show it, they most likely have anything used for Aircraft sheetmetal. from rivet guns and bucking bars to the most specialized tool you could think of.

My new 1/2" torque wrench I got for work. I wanted to try out Toptul and needed a new torque wrench, I was going to opt for a teng one but I got a good deal on this.

Made in Taiwan I know but it seems to be of decent quality.

Received today from eBay seller, another member listed he purchased the needle-nose pliers and when I looked at the sellers items I went a little crazy.
Also, the seller added 4 Proto industrial knives as a bonus!:rocker:

2.0 battery from eBay, Duralast 1/4 set for car box from the hot deals thread (hey Craftsman and SK, note the foam insert!!!), and 2 12" pliers wrenches and Dasco cold chisels from zer0cell. Thanks!

I have that 1/4 set from Duralast and had to replace the ratchet as it failed within a few minutes of use. I bought the HF 1/4 ratchet and it fit in the slot nicely
