OK folks,

I just finished sending PM's to everyone on the list who wasn't yet listed as having sent in a request per the information below. If I have time, I will continue to search out emails for further notification. Whew!

Note that all correspondence about your order should be to the email below as explained in post #1 of the link below. I will continue to answer questions as I can.

People on the list as well as new people are all welcome to order until midnight PST.

And if you know how to get in contact with any member on the list who has not ordered, please do so (Those are the member names in thin black text). I would love to see EVERYONE on the list, who wants one, to be able to do so.

___________________________________________________________________

Deadline for the Plasma Cutter group buy is Midnight (PST) on Friday, February the 13th.

If you are still interested in obtaining a unit, please go here and follow the directions in post #1 completely.

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=280018

If you have decided NOT to participate, would you please drop a note to Sean, with your user name and number on the list to:

[email protected]

Thank You,

Bill

Just a note for those on the fence because of money issues.

PayPal offers a financing option for those that qualify, and if I did, anyone can. It's not real money if you charge it.....right?

And for those who don't like PayPal, you can send Sean a USPS MO.

If you decided you didn't get enough consumables, go to post #1 and look at the directions for ordering and paying for more.

Think about us here in Hawaii. We are paying $104.30 for shipping. But I'm all rite with that, and still feel I'm getting a great deal. Thank guys, I look forward to getting the unit and testing it out. Now the wait begins. A big ALOHA out to you Sean.

... How am i to know he'd tell us, maybe thats how he's making money on this...

For what this thing is saving me in the long run, and for all the hard work he's putting into this thing, I hope to God he's making something on it... I sure as heck know *I* wouldn't want to do it for free, or worse, lose money on the favor that he's doing all of us here.

I guarantee you, coming from a business standpoint, that he deserves a lot for pulling this deal together - even more so for doing all the freight forwarding, coordination, checking, updating, going thru the absolute hassle it can be buying direct from China, etc... and THEN dealing with customs and duties - If he's doing it for nothing, or for a couple bucks a unit (which IMO is HEROIC), then to snivel and ***** that oh gee, he *might* be getting something is...

well, I'll just call it disingenuous, because I can't type here what I *really* think of it. I'm sorry, but that's the way I feel. And if someone who comes in later gets a better deal than I did because it puts this thing him over a certain production point that gets a better break, then I'll be happy for the guy who got a better break - and still be damned glad I got this thing for as cheap as I did.

BC, if you would like I could make a simple excel spread sheet up for you that might make it easier for you to manage the who's and what's paid. Please let me know if that would help and pm me your email addy.

Thanks, It's more a matter of tiny text and very poor eyesight. I seem to be losing it. Have to hold the computer screen 6" away. One eye is farsighted and the other is near.

How badly will less then 150 total impact the purchase price guys?. Or maybe I should ask what is the break over number?. I know Bob was shooting for 200 and I have no idea what was discussed as a total amount with the manufacturer or whoever. I'm also not comfortable with prolonging this because we could be short on those totals. If for some reason we're close I'd purchase a couple more to help get closer to that tally. They'd make a awesome Christmas gift :p

Also where you state 135 paid, does that count double or more orders or just individuals?.

For the record.... i am NOT complaining about anyfuckinthing. If i didn't like the price, i wouldn't have paid for one. I can't imagine what aquamoose is dealing with taking this on, no way i would do it.

this deal got to scrambled for me . I am out , take me off the list . thanks anyway

Hi Mike,
I don;t quite know what you mean by scrambled, but the deal is here plain as day, and crystal clear, until midnight.

All you have to do is decide if you want one for the price offered.

Nothing else matters.

You don't even have to pay by midnight, just go to post #1 and apply as directed. Even if you don't get an invoice by midnight, you will be counted and put in the batch.

Sean already has enough payments to put the deposit on the production run, and he will include anyone who applies by midnight.

Simple? It's up to you.

Clown #2

Circus must be in town

To bozo, krusty, and ronald the clowns...I'm done cluttering up this thread. Anything else to say, bring it to pm. Lets see if you oblige or keep replying in here. You are taking it off track as much as i am.

Did someone say you were? :willy_nil

I'm the one who PM'd you.

I've been working real hard the last two days, to try to get the word out to all the people on the list, that there was still an opportunity to get one of these.

That the deal wasn't dead after Bob had to quit, and Sean had taken up the torch.

But it seems like a lot of people either won't get the word or just gave up.

That's a shame.

But they, and you, still have until midnight to email your info and get on the buy list.

Go to message #1.

PayPal or USPS MO

I can't make it any easier.

Quick message here before I go out to dinner with my family...

I stand with NoSloCoupes completely. He brought up a legitimate question and a very fair one. The pricing was based on a minimum of 120 units. I was able to wrangle a few extra parts and units for warranty purposes plus will add a few more torch handles. I got the pricing down to only a dollar off the original so I decided to use the savings to put towards any taping materials, gas, ink in my pen, toilet water, electricity for the computer, etc.

I'm not the least bit offended by his comments, zero. If I were in NoSloCoupes shoes, I'd expect transparency (which will come when the dusts settles) and I intend to from my comments in the past. It's my first group-buy and I've never done it before. Originally, I thought it would have been easier by making a quick website www.plasmacut50f.com to let it do the work but the shipping calculation had me stumped and wanted to get the numbers to China asap before the new years so I went into "manual" mode. Sure, I've put in a good number of hours and it was more than I expected but I'm not complaining since I took up the job.

Let's discuss what we will build with it, shall we? ;-)

Be back soon,

Sean

Oh Sean,
Are we supposed to have an actual use or NEED for these devices?

I thought we were supposed to buy them because they were a good DEAL and another kind of tool we could have......

Now it appears I will have to obtain materials to cut...

And thank you for all you are doing. I only have some small idea of what it has entailed, and will require from you in the future. I know we all appreciate it.

Aquamoose, thanks for coming up with this group buy, and all your hard work, and bczygan, thanks to you too. But, try as I may, I guess this is not going to work out for me, and I imagine there are a few others. I have emailed Aquamoose exactly as instructed, with my name and number (148), PP address, my full name and address (which is what is in my PP account), for 1 Cut50F, and various consumables, on 2/9 @8:55, and also @ 8:56 to add an extra $5.

On Weds, Bill & I chatted re not receiving an order acknowledgement or invoice, and he said to be patient. So I was. I also checked my junk mail folder, and double-checked that I followed the order procedure to the letter.

This morning at 09:42, I sent another email order to [email protected], with my order and info, and still have received nothing.

I guess I must be on the outs. Good luck to you all.

Will,
I guess you just don't see how this is working. As long as your request is in, you're in.

Right now Sean is trying to get a total count to give to the MFG. He can catch up with the paperwork details as time allows.

First, did you check your PayPal account for an invoice? That is where that will be.

Maybe Sean can acknowledge receipt of your order to set your mind at rest.

He's going to dinner with his family right now. Give him some time to tie up loose ends for 200+ orders.

And let's check something. What was the email you sent the info to?

Will,

If you'd allow me, I'll focus on you first thing tonight. I'd hate to loose anyone thru the cracks.

Would you let me?

Yes,
To EVERYONE.......

This is NOT AMAZON.com, where you hit a button and get a printed receipt with a tracking number and can start watching the UPS truck heading toward the house that very minute.

And the change from Bob to Sean has disrupted the process.

And the fast approaching deadline of Chinese New Year has caused a bunch up.

HANG IN THERE EVERYONE! We'll get it all sorted out and everyone who wants a machine will get one. Don't give up yet!

PM me

Email me

Hell, call me...313 919-5513

Will, is the email address that you provided to Sean as your PayPal email address the same one that you sent your information from? Try adding that email address to your PayPal account too and see if the invoice shows up then. That's what I had to do and it worked.

I sent my info in to the email as instructed this morning. I haven't heard anything by email or PM.

Is there something else I need to do? I'm hoping not to miss out on this!
