Yeah mine are the 33" wide ones... However I see the 26" mid boxes even less than the 33" ones!

Mine are the 36". I had a chance to buy a middle box but it would have been so tall I would have needed a step ladder. I knew one mechanic who had the three piece set. He was 6'4" and it was still tall.

Hello All,

This is my current collection. Thanks for viewing.

I do request help from all fellow members. I am having a difficult time identifying two of my rolling tool chest. I believe one is a Union Manufacturing. The second possible it is a MBC or Cornwell. Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

So what year of manufacture? stack on roller bottom entry level when? What is your educated guess year of manufacture? No date stamp that I can find.

I would hazard a guess of the cornwell being a 60's box?? I think the stack on is a 90's box?? I don't know much about them other than that. I don't know much beyond that since I am not really a cornwell guy. Others on here will be able to fill in the years much better.

I used to have a Mac top chest just like the Cornwell.
Inside the top compartment, left front there should be a date stamp.

Merbie, I remember discussing that a while back. Yes, as I mentioned the drawers are a mirror image of the traditional Kennedy setup. Did you post drawer slide pictures? I can't remember.

Yeah thought I'd try a wider ordinance here, no part numbers on the box anywhere, funnily enough the head toolmaker at work has the exact same box when I asked where he got it from he said he bought it off some 'bloke' for a tenner so no hope there

Cheney was a tool box manufacturer out of England IIRC. They made small cantilever and hand carry boxes mostly.

Can't seem to find any info on it, perhaps it's a knockoffs afterall, although on the other guys box at work his has its original sticker saying made in the United Kingdom, so I'll take that

Nothing too crazy but a solid setup never the less..

Matco branded boxes I had once owned and traded back into over the weekend.

MB920 bottom roller
MB910 top box
MB903 mid box
MB505 side box

de ja vu all over again, sort of.

mine are labeled mac.

I just join this forum last week after I got these two boxes. the bottom one is a craftsman probably mid 70's and the top is a Mactools. both of them have the locking mechanisms but no keys I wonder if I can get a locksmith to make me a copy for each.

Welcome raylanr

Nice boxes. The shouldy each be stamped year made, craftsman on the bottom front frame rail and the mac on the back or side panel. Can you take an up close picture and model number of the mac box? I can't remember seeing that one before. Both appear to be from the 70's.

If the locks are there, you should have a number on the front of the cylinder. take them in to a locksmith so they can match the key blank and that number is the key code and they can punch the code into a new key.

the other option is most any hardware store with have replacement lock cylinders, with keys, and all you need do is match the length. you might even get them keyed alike.

I look for the model number for the mac and it says M 513 J1.
I could not find the number on the craftsman.
