I just join this forum last week after I got these two boxes. the bottom one is a craftsman probably mid 70's and the top is a Mactools. both of them have the locking mechanisms but no keys I wonder if I can get a locksmith to make me a copy for each.
I hope to learn about this little box. Its 7" tall, 6"deep and 13"wide
Otherwise I agree with Outlaw...probably a dedicated carrier for something, rather than a general purpose tool box. Looks like someone used it for .22 practice, shooting at the logo.Got Some interior shots? I'm thinking it's a power tool box, not any sort of Mechanic's carry box.

That looks like my 'Lunch Pail' tool box.I read this entire thread (and it took a while) but worth it. Its an awesome thread with an enormous amount of knowledge. I hope to learn about this little box. Its 7" tall, 6"deep and 13"wide

.17 HMR?
Glad you figured it out. Cool box. Still think it would make a great lunch pail.![]()
1/16" would be 0.0625". 1/8" would be 0.125" so .17 HMR would be closer to 3/16" (0.1875").
It was a joke.![]()

I think it is an early carpenters' version.
Nice!
So is it the mechanics cab, or the wood workers?
I think it is an early carpenters' version.
I think so too. The bracket on the right hand door looks right for hanging hand saws.
.Wished I had a good picture. still scouring the net and Cman catalogsYes you folks are correct!! Good thing my day job is as a carpenter...might just have a few tools laying around to fill it.Wished I had a good picture. still scouring the net and Cman catalogs
Noticed this on the inside of my late 40's early 50's heritage logo hand carry box..

Well, that takes all the fun out of speculating.![]()
