6 mnths ..
Ahh well - its a fairly typical shed ... nothing much exciting ... Just a bunch of the usual, mundane housey/car type jobs.
... so you'se havent missed much really ..
Sorry Mr 1/2Cup ... missed your post. I was probably too busy reading yours ... and everybody elses threads ..
Gave up on the castors ... diameter is too small,
... and going by the flat spots they developed despite being 200kg rated each
... I think chinese kilograms must weigh a lot less than aussie kilograms ..
Nearly bought the vacant dump next door - but decided theres enough here to keep me busy ... so we passed on it....
... sighhhh ... now we NEED to build a side fence to keep the new renters at bay ... thankfully the new owner has dropped all the trees growing on the boundary, thats stopped us getting it done in the past.
Shed stuff ...
Picked up four lateral filing cabinets back in Nov, for tool storage ... only lightweight, import ones ... but they were new ... and scored 'em for $20 each ... a win, I think
Been to quite a few sales ... didnt buy much - as either too dear, or I figgered I already had enough of the same stuff.
Shoulda bought this tho ... just to make
Drivesitfar jealous of the fancy stand ..

No really ... I shoulda bought it

- despite the price it eventually sold for ... Would have made a good, wood working sanding disc setup.
I have been looking for an old trailer hitch - for a project. Was at a sale the other day and saw a 5gal bucket full of brackets and bolts ,
... with a hitch just showing under all the junk.
$5 ..
Well ... in addition to the hitch ... most of the hardware was near new 3/8 and 5/16th stuff ... which was also covering up some other rusty goodies on the bottom.
A couple of the best items after some major cleaning. Was surprising just how much was USA items - Usually my scores are all Brit or German.
Irwin drill bit extensions - retail for about $30 a piece down here ..
Also in the bucket was a rusty, little, old, aussie made, gardening fork head.
... Aint it amazing, just how much, "they", forget about the yard sale scrounging and "wasted" money,
... when you do something like this for them.
Fitted a new, no splinter, hickory handle too,
... So I'll be in the good books for weeks ..

... maybe .. ??? ..
Now, just coz theres a few on here that like repurposed bed frames ...
Quick & dirty sawhorses/stands.
Been a bit of tool polishing happening.
Got some new bench plans happening - so prepping up/refurbishing, some gear for them.
All the vices are Carters.
I think the little engineer vice is ex Navy - and Ive always cursed it when relocating it and its special mount.
Heh Heh ... with a list to port like that ... its gotta be a navy one ayyy ..

..
Sash clamps and pipe clamps were NOS, aussie made items, off fleabay ... pricing was reasonable.
A few of the, many, odds & sods, dragged out of my "junk" boxes ... and made ready for use again.
... and my old ETC 1/2 inch ratchet ... still going strong after 30 odd years - despite all the cheater bar marks on the handle ..
... and of course ... since a lot of my tool polishing involves a wire wheel ..

..

... and I got fed up swapping stuff around between the 6" & 8" grinders.
I got this ol girl going again - so the 6" could be just a wire wheel spinner.
Its an old USA made, B&D jobby ... only 5" but good for final touchups after the 8".
Needed some loving ... past owner was a bit rough and ready.
Fixed the fan with a careful blend of soldering iron welding - and electrical conduit glue just for good measure.
Hopefully it will last as long as the grinding wheels do ..
Been a few new items added to the inventory.
One was this, freeby, Millers Falls bender I was given.
Bewdy ..
sighhhh , no, ... not an american, Millers Falls ..
... and I think Ive tested it to its maximum capacity ..
Still ... it will be handy for little jobs like socket trays and things ... and I never look a gift horse in the mouth ..

The little lady received a Ryobi garden edger for

, from one of the offspring.
Strangely enough, the only way to get larger, reasonably priced, extra, batteries for it,
... was in a drill kit ..

..

..
Only Ryobi ... but its still working so far ... quite well too actually ..
Ohhh yeah ... bought one of these other TTI items at the same time ... shame it didnt last more than twenty minutes ... Got replaced with a MakTec.
Well I guess thats a bit of a catchup on some of the goings on, for the time being ... so if you managed to stay till the end of the post,
... thanks for looking ...
