Thanks. Are you talking about the older model without the 3 speed?

Yup, both of his are single speed, mine is also. Saw the new one, looks interesting having multiple settings.

I can pick up the single speed for $45 w/o a battery. Should I go for the newer three speed for $65 more?

As long as your needs are met by the anemic available TQ available, yes it works.
I have one of the newer versions and an older one..

Having checked TQ output on a pricy load cell made for checking impact guns.. I can say, there ain't much there.. But what is there works and has for a lot of use over the years.

8 & 10 mm fasteners (so 12,13,14mm hex head, 8 or 10m hex socket head) often are not doable with this gun.

All M6x.50 fasteners and most M8 will come out no issue and that is what I do a lot of...so it works.
My new SnapOn CT761 is worlds ahead though so is the primary gun I use now.

The Craftsman C3 Impact Drivers get left with a M6 and M10 impact socket on them, making them an easy grab no set up for those fastener sizes.

New one come with battery?

I cannot say I ever needed more power or less, the trigger feathers real nice (on the old one) for low speed use to start screws. But for 20 bucks more?....

Have about 3x of those newest to older, all worked fine for drywall and screws constructions. don't expect this to unbolt your lug nuts though..

Go with the newer 3 speed... think those are brushless motors ones...and rated a little more power.....

Sorry for the typo but it is $65 more at around $110.

I may just stick to the cheaper one. Wasn't even planning of getting one hehe.

Can I just use my air impact or c3 1/2 impact with the right attachment to substitute this?

What are you wanting to use it for?

In that case no way, get the less expensive older one.

I have never used mine for auto work, 3/8 impact (IR2115 and SO Mg325) do everything I need and smaller than Cman 1/4 impact. What I do use the Cman for is deck screws, general screws, basically building/contract type work. If you currently use a drill to drive screws, you will wonder how you ever got along w/o an impact driver!
