Bolt Grades?

What are all the bolt Gradings? What is the corresponding tensile strength for the bolt. I have search and googled this but can't seem to find a chart with this type of information.

I must ask...why do you need to know? Just about everything in the garage will get by without getting into high strengths such as 10.9 which is essentially automotive suspension, etc. remember, just up size the fastener when in doubt, that means thicker diameter.

A friend of mine who transport cars with his F350 put an air suspension system on it. When he bolted the brackets with grade 8 they would break when he was carrying a substantial load. This led me to wonder about bolts strengths and classifications.

That could be from many things. Improper design, improper torquing, improper grade of bolt, etc.
