I have been making slow and steady progress....just finished loading a truck full of trash all of the construction is done for this round.

Got a really nice wallmounted vac for car detailing and cleaning up around the garage

Tile looks good.
It's hard for most people to resist filling a space up before finishing the floor, then it never gets done.
I didn't know you have Jspec headlights. Did you do the RHD to LHD beam cutoff conversion? How do you like them?

Excellent job! I knew this would turn out awesome. What're your next plans? Also, are you planning on using the 4-car garage for anything other than parking space/detailing?

Thanks!

Yeah having all of my space ******* for this long and not being able to use it has sucked.

Had the Jspecs for years. I originally bought them to have the inserts replicated to and slightly modified to fit the A spec housing but it proved to be too expensive.

Haven't dont the RHD to LHD mod....doesn't really bother me. I may at some point.

Thanks!

The 4 car will be for storage, cleaning etc. I will probably pick up another personal car in the next year or so and that will leave 1 extra space for storage and the shop for builds

176 post thread and no one gives any stars? You know about stars don't you? At the top of the page there is a box marked "RATE THIS THREAD." Click on the box then click the "Excellent" button. Do it because you know this is a five star garage and you know Madhatter 10-1 deserves the accolade.

Everything looks fantastic, seeing your tile floor really make me lean that direction for m6 own garage.

Finally got some time this weekend to get the 4 car garage cleaned up. There was debris left from the install and some of the tiles had motar / grout on them....looked terrible.

Getting everything back out

I ended up using a Roloc disc and went tile by tile while sitting on a creeper. Looks so much better now.

Used my pressure washer to finishing rinsing it all out

Also, drivesitfar you can see the wooden ramp that I used for the transition in this pic. This spring I am going to paint it black.

And everything clean with the cars back in.

This completes round 1 for me. This spring I will add some storage against the back wall of the 4 car, paint the interior doors to match and probably build a rolling work bench for the shop area.

Couldn't be happier with how this has turned out.

MH: you do amazing work and the new tile in the main garage looks great. with all those blank walls do you know anybody that wants to have you fix their car for a little artwork. these pictures are a bit twisted, but they were in an old closed vice factory in England.

a little color and a few more electrical outlets and that 4 car should be done or do you have plans for more storage in back too?

BTW i think i mentioned this before, but with all those steel beams in your ceiling are all houses in your area built like that or did a iron worker build your home? in 30 years of selling new and used homes i might have seen a few with a single steel beam, but not that many.

if you want me to delete the pictures i will and just mainly showing the idea and not their content because there are a few talented guys and gals out there that can make a dull space shine. or are you planning on painting it the same color as your basement garage?

drivesitfar,

Thanks! I had planned on adding some artwork to the walls...but after seeing you pics may have it painted on instead of just hanging it. I am sure that I can find a local artist.

The guy that did this house overbuilt the **** out of it. One of the things that I really liked about it. The entire thing just feels like a tank.

MH: glad to hear you like the artist idea and looking forward to seeing what you might have done on those bare walls.

yes, your home is built even better than most commercial buildings and more like a high rise would be. congrats on finding such a good home.

how are your neighbors? Hopefully they are good old boys, but if not maybe do your best to keep them happy so they don't call the powers at be and say you are running a business out of your garage/basement.

also it looks like you still have the tile on pallets. have you sold any and how many pallets left? did you get a price to ship via Fastenal or do you have a store in your area? how much per pallet to ship in case i find a guy up here that can use some?

I still have plently left. So far everyone has stopped by and picked up so I don't have any firm numbers on shipping. Ballpark $250 per pallet.

Let me know if you find anyone. Thanks!

MH: i'll keep my eyes and ears open for somebody needing some great garage floor or patio tiles.

i went to the home show last weekend in Seattle and talked to the wife of this guy who can paint a garage door or wall in anything you like and even those cool 3D type murals.

http://www.themuralworks.com/portfolio/#!lightbox[49]/0/

in case you might still want to do something like that on your cement walls or even your garage doors i'm guessing there is probably some guys (gals) in your area that are doing something like this.

cheers and have a great day

That tile is TOUGH worked in a motorcycle shop as a mechanic and the place was once a food place. Never cracked one time, and dropped lots of stuff plus it was super easy to clean up oil/grease ect.

So apparently Supras are just drawn to the new shop :)

3 Downstairs + my Z with room to spare

Absolutely loving the shop...some of the best money I have ever spent.
