I really like the over under garage. If I were to build, I plan on doing something similar, however the under garage would be a workshop only.

Awesome job.

Like what you are doing here. any pics of the whole house to show the garage locations?

This just a hobby garage or do you work out of it?

That garage is awesome!! Well done on finding that and the plans to customize it. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see more.

I used to live in Louisville and would occasionally see a black Supra around. I'm no expert on them but I think it looked a lot like that, possibly yours? It looks fantastic.

Those tiles are going to look amazing! I can't wait to see where this goes. Although, if you finish your floor before I finish mine, I will be thoroughly shamed.

How are they going down so far? Looks like your floor was pretty good to begin with, and your lines are great.

Also, I decided to do a "stress test" on a piece that had to come back up since it wasn't level. The motar hadn't even properly setup yet. This is ~5lb sledge hammer being dropped.....didn't even phase it. My raw concrete wont hold up to this :)

I really like that tile paired with the raw concrete walls. Kinda gives it an industrial yet modern feel. With a car parked in there, it will have all the focus on the car.

What did you apply on top of the epoxy before laying the tiles?

Ecogrip. My contractor ended up using mapei and they said for them to warranty the install we had to use all of their products and use eco grip.

Hope it works out well

Thanks again for all of your advice / help!

I am very pleased with how this is starting to come together!

Also, one fear that I had was about the functionality of tile with creepers or really anything with wheels.

Not really a concern anymore:)

Madhatter it looks awesome. It's going to be so cool when it's all done. What size spacers are you using for the joints? Are those big tiles rectified? That creeper rolled really nicely.

Madhatter: I've been watching for a while now and i really like the way your garage is turning out. that is some tiling project and are you doing it yourself because i read you were having some issues with your contractors? i'm not sure what rectified is, but we put 13 inch porcelain tiles on floor of our bathroom about 10 years ago and we had to remove them to repair a leaking shower and i broke a sledge hammer off it's handle on them.

that said i'm wondering what grout you decided to use? also if you can leave a bit more in the grooves instead of really wiping them out you won't have the sharp corners to deal with.

that is a very well built home with those huge steel I beams and also thinking you might have been able to put a hoist or lift on one or two of them in case you need to lift something heavy off a truck or one of your engines out of a car.

keep up the great work and looks great so far

Thought I recognized your screen name from TT.net and Supraforums, the car pics confirmed. Love the garage, very well done!

Great space. I can't think of a better way to do that lower garage. Looks fantastic.

I as well recognized the car as a fellow tt.netter. Screen name sealed it as well.

Always loved the Blitz 03's. Still my favorite wheel for the Z. Look forward to seeing this to completion.
