The tube make it impossible to squeeze the sealer out any tips?

Merb

If its like the thread sealer i have the nozzle is telescopic, it should pull out a tiny bit as you pull the cap off, and get pushed back to seal as the cap is refitted, sometimes the nozzle doesn't move from its sealed position as the cap is removed and no product can be dispensed. Its a simple matter to pull the nozzle to the open position by hand.

If it's labeled in Chinese it might be manufactured in China, where different rules dictate what can and can't be put in chemical products. Hence different smell, etc.

My instinct would say that since China is much more lax on most environmental concerns than we are, Chinese Loctite might very well be an improvement over what you can get in the USA/Europe. I don't know this for sure.

No, Henkel is a German Multi-National
They sure are. I bought some of their 412 industrial cyanoacrylate (Crazy Glue) on ebay. The bottles were labeled in Korean but using Henkel's decoder for the numbers on the bottle, it turns out that they were made on Henkel's Dublin, Ireland plant. Most of the sellers were in Korea, but I got my Korean marked 515 a little quicker from a US vendor.
The product was as good as the super expensive stuff made for the US market. For 515 you just save a few bucks importing it and it is going to take a while for that free packet shipment to arrive. I don't think quality is a big issue.

I think you should toss that tube, and consider it a win.

Wrong product to second guess.

China puts arsenic in baby formula when they can get away with it.

Pass on this one.

Loctite started out as an American company but was bought by Henkel, a German multi national with plants in a number of countries including the USA, Germany, Ireland and China. What you have is gray market goods. Loctite USA gets top dollar but the prices are lower in some other countries, like China. People can make money buying genuine product manufactured outside the USA and selling it in the USA cheaper than retailers get for US made Loctite. There are many examples of gray goods where people get around an official US importer and sell cheaper. It is rampant with cameras. Those 5 blade Gillette blades are much cheaper in India. Loctite 401 cyanoacrylate adhesive (industrial grade crazy glue) is made in the Dublin, Ireland plant and sold in Korea with a Korean label but the bottle says "Made in Ireland" on the bottom. It is all over ebay for a fraction of the price for US Loctite 401. Some Loctite products have a shelf life. It is 2 years for moisture cure 401. My concern about buying this stuff is that it may be old product. The anaerobic products like 515 and the thread lockers like blue 262 seem to last forever.

Try it out.

Get a bolt and nut, say a 3/8-16 and apply some. Let it cure. See how well it performs. I'd run it if it works well.

Something critical like engine parts? I'd just go and buy a fresh bottle from the local auto parts store.

Loctite 515 isn't for threadlocking, it's a liquid gasket/sealant.

The several different consumer grade Loctite glues sold in the big box stores are made in China, even the one they call Professional. Loctite is a multi national German company. I doubt they turn out inferior product at one plant vs another.

The paranoia reaches another level. Loctite has the folmula. China is the #1 manufacturing and #1 automobile market. They probably use more of that stuff.
