Loctite started out as an American company but was bought by Henkel, a German multi national with plants in a number of countries including the USA, Germany, Ireland and China. What you have is gray market goods. Loctite USA gets top dollar but the prices are lower in some other countries, like China. People can make money buying genuine product manufactured outside the USA and selling it in the USA cheaper than retailers get for US made Loctite. There are many examples of gray goods where people get around an official US importer and sell cheaper. It is rampant with cameras. Those 5 blade Gillette blades are much cheaper in India. Loctite 401 cyanoacrylate adhesive (industrial grade crazy glue) is made in the Dublin, Ireland plant and sold in Korea with a Korean label but the bottle says "Made in Ireland" on the bottom. It is all over ebay for a fraction of the price for US Loctite 401. Some Loctite products have a shelf life. It is 2 years for moisture cure 401. My concern about buying this stuff is that it may be old product. The anaerobic products like 515 and the thread lockers like blue 262 seem to last forever.
