You, sir, are a bad influence! Thanks for finding this.
13,450 Yen= $111. The finish looks comparable to Snap On. List price for the equivalent Snap On 1/2" long handle fine tooth ratchet is about $180.
Sounds like a deal to me.
Nice deal. Can we order from the U.S.?
Use rakuten if you wanna order directly from JapanI had a go at registering on Amazon Japan to order but can't find a way to enter a non-Japanese post code.
Maybe someone knows a workaround ?
This is what I was interested in RH3FHX

Thanks, I found a tools in Tokyu Hands like Vessel, PB Swiss tools, Proxxon. Price wise i compared to here in North America, it is cheaper here for those European brand, local japanese brand are cheaper over there off course. BIC camera is one of those electronics giant store that I found the Engineer pliers and they have couple of Koken ratchet that is really expensive than getting it here.
Vessel's new "Woody" series screwdriver uses wood fibers and plastic resins (70/30 ratio) to create the world's first hybrid grip of its kind.

In addition to providing that feel of a wood grip screwdriver, it claims to be the most significant anti-slip screwdriver while being operated under oily/slippery conditions.
Here's an illustration of that in numbers:

I'm not sure where their 370 series fits into that picture though:

Does anyone happen to own this Stubby Vessel ratcheting screwdriver? SO's stubbies are way to fat. And for $16 for this set its hard to go wrong.![]()
Chime in If You own any Vessel ratcheting screwdriver I would like to know the teeth number and how the backdrag is. Thanks
COO = Taiwan, correct?

I have the stubby version.

The tooth count is on the coarse side...probably around 40? The mechanism itself is nothing to be amazed about. The back drag is heavier than it should be, but it works, nonetheless. It lives inside my home, for the small home box. For the cheapy price, one can lower their expectations (?)![]()

The ratchet is marked Japan and I think the display card that was attached to it said Product of Japan.
Man that handle on the tone ratchet sure looks very similar to that found on the new Blackhawk pear head ratchets. I think there might be a connection

BTW, my Vessel ratcheting screwdriver is "Assembled in Japan". Do you guys remember if your product packaging is written with that statement?
FWIW, one of my other Vessel products (their hammer, IIRC) was marked "Made in Thailand". ....which isn't a surprise since Japanese manufacturing has had a lot of presence in Thailand, and Vessel is one of them, with a factory in Thailand for some years now.
Tone was one of the early adopters of high tooth-count ratchets in Japan. When they introduced their 72-tooth pearhead ratchets people were led to believe they were a Japanese product, when in fact they were imports from Taiwan.
If the RH3FHX is marked with "Japan", it's a bit deceptive and misleading.
Their new lineup is still imported from Taiwan. Newtools/Hi-Five is definitely one of their sources (probably their primary source).
Superautobacs,
My full size Vessel ratcheting screwdriver says product of Japan on it, but I don't remember what the packaging said. I know that Vessel ball grip screwdrivers are made in Thailand.
The packaging for my Vessel stubby ratcheting screwdriver says "Assembled in Japan"
Very nice ^
Koken makes some very fine tools.
Nothing better than those Ko-ken Z sockets. I have the same RS2400MZ/12. They truly are the best sockets I have ever used. Very tight fit and in my opinion they look very nice. I'm almost sick of all the shiny chrome stuff...
I have a few other Ko-ken sockets as well. All of their stuff is very nice.

Agreed, cant wait to expand the collection.
It's crazy how low profile they are. They're almoxt difficult to pick up they're so small![]()

Did you get them from Frankstools or somewhere else?
