First negative experience for me tonight.
....
I had no reason to prolong the back and forth because I had some good deals to go snag off the shelf.

If people are really yelling at you, get their badge number and file a complaint with corporate.
I meant to buy a beverage to take my mind off of the solar burn from the employee. C'est la viethose mini fridges are cheaper on amazon.
Let's hope these go back to the same clearance price in a few months. Also saw the $50 drill combo kit. The waiting game begins.
Any veterans know if they do this every year like last year on those dewalt miter saw, table saw, ryobi battery, miter stand, toolboxes...dewalt drills and various other special buy clearance buys....????

Yesterday mine had those for $15 each. Grabbed the last two they had.
First negative experience for me tonight.
Went into a store that I have been into twice before. Went to the computer and began browsing and noticed a cashier staring at me. This is the same computer I have used before with no issues that's located in the Pro section. She eventually walks over and asks if I need help and I say no. She then asks if I work at the store and I say no. She kind of stares at me and then says I can't use the computer. I point where it says "Public" and say sure I can! She walked away and I figured that was the end of it.
She came back a few minutes later and told me that I couldn't use the computer and I asked for the manager. She said the "head cashier" told her that and I once again requested the manager. Fortunately getting the manager took a little bit of time so I got to complete most of my searching.
The manager wanted to know why I was on "her" computer. I told her because it was for public use just like every other store. She proceeded to be an ahole so I got her name and moved on.

Got a picture this morning when I unloaded the car. I think I better take a break today before my wife kills me.![]()

That's why I don't organize my garage...... Easier to hide stuff in!

"Honey, look what followed me home!"
What do you do with all the multiples Rexamus, resale?
Nice score! Cute dog too![]()
blame the dog. the wife won't give the dog anymore biscuits, but you can sneak them to her.
"Honey, look what followed me home!"
"Can I keep them?"
the damn dog brought these home!
If people keep jumping on those ridgid grinders at $59 they'll never make it to x.03 status. I don't think they'll bother with x.06 or x.03 pricing if the items all sell out of inventory. In that case they'll just make the SKU inactive. I also wonder whether further discounting is likely on a Special Buy item. It's not like regularly stocked inventory, where last year's model gets a deep discount because it's being pushed out by this year's model.
My local HD store has a place for you to test the battery powered tools. A display in the aisle with a big block of wood that has drywall screws in it. but the batteries are always dead.

My store has 4 of the grinder kits left, I bet they'll all sell at $59 before any other price drop
So, I can't say this enough, but I'll say it again; OVERHEAD!!! Do not trust the computer or the employees. "0" doesn't mean anything. Yesterday I was at an HD and found that the Ryobi belt sanders were clearanced out when they changed from blue to green, and the part number was changed from 8-2 to 9 (I don't remember what the beginning numbers are now). The computer said 0 in stock, but I had just been in that aisle and could've sworn there was a whole pallet of them sitting there. I wrote down the part number, and grabbed a pimple faced employee. I had him pull one for me, and scan it. I walked away with a cart full of brand new belt sanders for 13 bucks each.
Put in the legwork, folks!
Inv=0 does mean something. It either means that Inv=0 is really true, or it could mean that a dept manager just zeroed out the inventory on the computer by force so they could retire the SKU as inactive, without even bothering to find the merchandise first.
Then, when some sharp customer finds the inventory and buys it, inventory goes negative. THAT is how you get INV=-1. Do me a favor schmelpboy, and re-check the inventory of those sanders on the computer. I'd be willing to bet that inventory has gone negative on that item. If not then they manually re-zeroed it to hide the problem from the bean counters.
Last night I had a store employee tell me that Inventory=1 means that it's on display. I knew she was wrong, and I knew that she was just trying to brush me off in saying that. So I schmoozed her a little and next thing you know I had her climbing the stairs to check for several Inventory=1 SKU that I wanted. No luck finding any of them.
Lucky me, after having her scan the entire tool department from on high, I managed to find the Mwk 2653 impact driver for $58.03. Some douchebag had hidden it on the floor, behind some other boxes, pushed it way into the back under the racks where it would be hard to find, and put a 2654 in front of it to hide it. I snagged the 2653 and pushed a 2654 way in the back to take it's place. I'm hoping that the douchebag who hid it doesn't realize that he's got a different SKU until he hits the checkout and it rings up at $239.00. The girl who had been on climbing the stairs for me was genuinely happy that I found the missing SKU because it made our team effort pan out. She did a price check, saw that it was marked down from $229 to $58.03 and high-fived me for finding a bargain! She was one of those people who really liked to help people find a good deal.
Moral of the story -- be persistent. Look high, and look low. You need to look low because there are cheap doucebags won't buy a tool and wait for the price to drop, instead they try to hide it in the store.
