Those new Techangles are dreamy. The stored presets are awesome, just flick through the list instead of pressing up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up-up.

You can deliver that straight to my shop, here let me PM you the address.

Seriously though, beautiful box. That one with that color scheme is exactly what I want.

Thanks. Like I said 2 posts above, you should see it in person, that pic does the sapphire blue no justice. I was worried I wouldn't like it, but even the people who think I'm an idiot for buying it (everyone), comments on the color.

First "nice" ratchet I've got. Until now I haven't spent more than $20 on one.

Bought a pair of these on sale at advance auto....
GW_82120_FRNT_MAIN.jpg

and they're going straight back. They're heavy which would have been ok if the "compound" gimmick worked... My Crescent needle nose cut easier than these and they're no where near the same size channel lock dykes for pure cutting pleasure! ;-)

I'm a big Facom fan, and their ratchets are the best I've ever used,
but I've always hated the idea of adjustable length ratchets.

What is your opinion of this one..?

Rico, reading some of your posts is the reason I decided to try the Facom ratchet.
I only used it for a short time, but I think I'm going to be very pleased with it. The adjustment is very quick and easy. One handed in fact. But it locks very solidly in the detents. It is heavier than I expected though. I tried a new snap on dual 80 ratchet before I bought this and this is just as smooth, with about the same backdrag.

Needed to install the anchor bolts for the lift, and decided I needed this to do it.

Overkill for me for sure, but I'll surely never want for a different snap ring plier anymore. I already tried a set on a snap ring I'm often troubled by and they worked beautifully.

Scooter, I think I would sell the entire extractor set because of the case it should bring more money. Then just go buy what you want with the proceeds. I like the snap ring plier set as well.

If anything it will turn him off from Snap-On ratchets. Their locking flex mechanism is the biggest piece of junk compared to Armstrong/Matco.

Who knows?
Really? Did not know that. I like the lock on my Matco 24" and my Armstrongs.

Still though, Dual-80's are pretty addictive. I'm at 6 so far.

It's real nice. Probably get others eventually but next on my list is the serpentine belt tool kit. I have the Princess Auto version that doesn't ratchet and every time I use it, I wish it would ratchet..

Before you condemn that saw, buy it a good blade -- like a Forrest. It'll cost
you some money, but it will be well worth it. Then make sure that the saw is correctly set up. Go thru the manual and check all the set up points to make sure they are spot on. You may also go online and see if anybody has a Youtube video on making that saw perform well. Good luck.

BAHCO 808050P ($33) ratcheting screwdriver. Was looking at SnapOn, Williams and BAHCO.

Was leaning towards the Williams ($29) but it didnt have the knurling on the shaft and I kinda wanted that.

The non pistol grip BAHCO 808050 was $30......also has the knurling.

Went back and forth on rather or not Id use or like the pistol grip. Figured the rotating pistol grip was actually done well enough so I went that way.

The bit storage in the handle is very well done. The grip rotates and locks up very well. The direction selector operates well, has a very distinct detent and I dont think it will ever give me problems changing direction.

Mechanism is smooth and feel precise. Seems strong.

I could have looked around and gotten a deal on a used SnapOn.....but I think for my needs this will be just as good.

I've got the standard version of that and its great, been using it a lot over the last 6 months, its smooth and strong, and you can put alot of force on it because the grip is great and very comfortable, the bit holder goes slack after a while so the bits can fall out if you open it upside down, the painter I work with has a Snap-on which is nicer, smoother and less back drag, but not by much, especially considering they cost loads more here.

That's maybe blowing it out of proportion a little bit... They work fine, the new ones with the metal button are better.
