Thanks! Was it in the computer, or did you just know to look for it?
I just knew. It wasn't in the computer at all. It was a Black Friday special from last year

I saw that coffin box yesterday. That in Newington as well?
Rochester. Did u actually see it, or just in the computer? I think it's just some display thing
It's probably Halloween decoration of some sort. I saw that all Seasonal stuff is still in the system and $0.01.
In the computer. I'm hoping that husky box will fit on the craftsman I already have. No other deals in Newington? Did you see the jack and stands? I might keep an eye on those if they go any lower.

Yea I did see the jack stands for 25. I didn't take them. They were in the clearance rack in the center aisle behind tools. The Husky box measures exactly 26 1/4". Measure the inside of the top ridge on your roller box
I went to some stores I had never been to today.
I found my toolbox and grinder. I didn't let the toolbox out of my site. Drove the truck today. I learned my lesson from the tool guy screwing me last time. The 13th store was the lucky one.
I call this work. I probably have drove 400 miles and spent ~ 18 hours. I'm happy I did it, but anyone that thinks this shouldn't take any work is wrong.
Now im setting my iPad down to go put that toolbox together.
congrats on a successful hunt. i'm happy for your success. good things come to those who work hard to find a deal.I went to some stores I had never been to today.

Nice buy glad you finally got the box. Quick question the two boxes of nails on the right were they 44 cents? Or 11 bucks like it says on it?
Penny Palooza.
...
two TIVO locks and another electronic door locks...

Locks are located in the garage in my storage area (which is basically the entire 2 car garage - I share the space with my 52 Chevy Truck, tool boxes, storage shelving, and a handicap ramp that my daughter uses. Introduction to this site was based on a desire to build a separate 3 car garage to house all of my stuff - as well as hide from the wife since my recent retirement - always seem to be doing something wrong now that I am under foot more - ready to go back overseas or war zone - much easier to survive...). Will pull them out in the AM and see what I can find any identifying info on same. One of the boxes had a handwritten note on it clearly identifying it as a penny item (will include photo).which locks were they? do you have SKUs or links?
Thanks
Rather think of myself as a high class ******, but considering the fact that I can be made happy with a penny deal think the Slickdeal ***** title may be more appropriate. What some of us will do to save a buck. Just think what I might be willing to do if only one of you gentlemen wanted to get rid of one of those nice Dewalt/Milwaukee tool boxes I have been lusting for...... (only kidding)Grizz -- congrats on being a Good Hunter! No, I'm not going to accuse you of being a Slick Deals *****.
I went toe to toe with Jabba the Hutt today over another 6-pack of penny items that shall remain nameless. What's funny is that when I hit the register, I had the same experience you did -- the items rang up at 6@$0.01, and the cashier promptly over-rode the price and tried to raise the price on each item to $17.50 or so, thereby adding $115 to my bill!
I told her there was NFW that I would let them jack my bill for another $115 and I demanded that they sell the items for the original ring-up price of $0.01. A call to the manager ensued. Like your guy, he offered to sell them to me for $1.00 each. Now that wasn't a particularly bad deal, but I didnt' like the fact that he was trying to make me pay an extra $5.94 CYA fee to cover for his lousy inventory management.
I countered by telling him that he was trying to rob me by charging 100x of the price that the register said I should pay, and that the extra $0.99 per item was a CYA expense that was only designed as a way to protect him from being punished for being bad at his job. That, and according to state law, I was entitled to pay the penny price. He wouldn't budge. He claimed that HD prohibits the sale of penny items.
I countered by offering to pay the $0.06, if he was willing to personally pitch in the $5.94 fee for manager-***-coverage, suggesting that if he wanted *** protection then it was his job to pay for it. He didn't agree with me.
Boy was he stupid. He should have taken my offer. A call to 800 C/S followed. The long and short of it is that he got a schooling and I walked out paying $0.06.
Moral of the story -- THE HD MGMT SEEMS TO HAVE A UNIFIED PLAN TO MOVE PENNY ITEMS UP TO $1.00 TO AVOID BEING FLOGGED FOR SELLING PENNY ITEMS. THIS IS AN ATTEPMT AT CYA FOR THEIR SLOPPY INVENTORY MANAGEMENT. STAND YOUR GROUND. REFUSE TO PAY AN ADDED FEE TO PROTECT THEM FROM BEING ACCOUNTABLE FOR BEING BAD AT THEIR JOB. CALL 800 C/S IF YOU HAVE TO -- THEY *WILL* HELP YOU.

Thanks SPN1025. Fits great, only difference is the craftsman top I already have is slightly deeper, so it sticks out over the husky box maybe a half inch or so. Someone had taken it down because it wasn't up high anymore. Older lady at the SCO was too busy chatting with someone that she never noticed the yellow on the screen. As I was walking out she was like wow, nice box huh, you will be able to store all your stuff in there... Jack stands were still there. Also saw the conduit kit for TV mounting that goes behind the wall at 13.03 from like 59.**. Might grab one of it goes penny.

the MET Team and employees were cleaning the aisles when I was in the store
NIKON5400,
Need to apologize. Typed my note late last night and didn't have the locks in front of me. The locks I referred to are Kwikset KEVO locks (SKU: 1000-020-942), not TIVO. See pictures of the two I found below, along with a Kwikset Signature Series deadbolt (can not find a SKU on the package, or was the lock still listed on HD.COM). Hope this helps, although I know that the search for these locks has been ongoing for some time. Think I was just lucky enough to find them due to the fact that the MET Team and employees were cleaning the aisles when I was in the store - as I am sure that I would not have found them if they weren't in their cart with the notation of the one unit being a penny (they wrote .01 all over the box - not sure if it was for their use, or just inadvertent advertizing). Hope this helps.....
