Ok.
Here is what I'd like to do, but you tell me if it can be done safely and fairly easily using conduit.

Left to Right... Junction box that powers both garage door openers. In the center is the sole lighting fixture and to the right is one of the outlets from the junction box.

Lighting:
I'd like to convert the light to a junction box and split it 4 ways and power T8 or whatever for overhead lighting. Not sure if you need to know, but that box is using a three way switch.

Power:
From the left hand junction box, I'd like to run a line to the back wall and drop it down and create four outlets. One for an LCD two for workbench power and one for a switched fan.

You can do what you wanted, you can get away with running rx like it is now but would use conduit coming down the walls or snake wire down. Ideally you would want to snake it all behind walls or in pipe.

Here in ontario, Canada there are rules for how many wires can go into each size box, so you would not be able be able to split the junction 4 ways....however you could do the following:

Lighting:
open up up the box where your light is...the light itself should only have a black and a white wire hooked up to it. Hook up a new piece of 14/2 wire to those leads (unhook your existing light) and run that wire to your first t8 fixture....then run a wire from that fixture to the next, and so on....

Power:
Do the same as above...run one wire from your existing to your first outlet, then from that outlet to the next one, and so on.....

The local electrical inspector told me once that the most common defect in electrical wiring is too many wires in one box, so the method above will eliminate that

Thanks... I'm watching YouTube and realizing and visualizing what you're talking about. I'm confident I can do this.

Thanks... are you an electrician? Yeah... I have to climb into that attic space to see what I'm dealing with in there. I want to know if they insulated it.
