Wow, you have crown in your garage! Looks great with the brick and the wall of cabinets. I wouldn't even repaint, I think the slight separation is kind of nice and looks intentional.
details on this cabinet? link or store? thanks

Too spendy for me...

I think they look great, now they need some cool graphics on them.
Either some colored strips that tie them together, or a big sticker
that covers a big chunk of them, trimmed around the drawers. Maybe
a big race track like these.

***********************************Old Oil and antifreeze jugs work well as storage bins. They don't get all moldy if it's damp in the garage. They are easy to pick up and take with you, More convienant than the boxes that screws and nails come in, and after your oil change, they are free. I have an old card file cabinet that these fit great in. It works well for me anyways.

Now THAT is a 'straight-up ingenious idea"!!!
Looks like some of the containers are different sizes??
glenn
Not mine but I've got some that are very similar....
Most of the containers appear to be motor oil or transmission fluid. The bigger ones appear to be anti-freeze. The different sizes are good for longer bolts/nails.

Agree..what's cool about this also is the fact that its recycling material that would otherwise end up in the landfill...![]()
I agree that we need to keep it out of the landfill but the main reason I do it is I'm a cheapskate.

started building a storage rack behind the shed for the bigger stuff. corrigated roof is pretty steep so it should keep off most of the snow weight. still need to add more bracing and another shelf and some curtain type thing for winter. http://thatcherworks.blogspot.com/2014/09/covered-storage-rack.html

Figured I'd post a few of mine. I'm so spacialy challenged that I need every bit of vertical real estate available. Please excuse the mess, I was an organized person believe it or not before my two kids entered my life.
Here's a closeup of the hooks I fabbed out of some scrap I had around. I've made a mess of these in various configurations to try and get stuff vertical.
You can always clamp it in a vice along side of a pipe and bend it that way. Easiest if you haven't cut the materials to length. Also easier to bend with a little heat from a simple propane torch applied.Nice! How did you do the bending?

I did something similar with bike hooks...
I'm going to copy this as soon as I find some empty wall space.
Are there any pictures on here of your fire fighter wall? It looks great.

Nice idea for the air tools too! It'd be real easy for most people to make it off alum angle. That's a great idea for the extensions, so easy to copy as well adapt for ratchets and screwdrivers!!! I gonna do this to my built in workbench.
