Last weekend proved to be uncharacteristically productive.
At a Friday GS got the Craftsman 5196 - in the corner of a garage, in a pile of stuff, partially covered by a tarp. The garage is in a flood prone area, and the vise shows it. Check out the handle, it is pretty much gone, as is the badge. The jaws are still in good shape, but the main screw is frozen as is the swivel. Certainly a project and for a Jackson, who could pass it up? Based on a recent evilprey listing, I should get at least a couple of Benjamins for it as is.

At an ES on Sat, got the post vise. 5.5 jaws, no marking I could find.
Finally the Reed 403 1/2 was a CL buy, for a Jackson and Lincoln (AKA Andy and Abe). The medallion is "Frick & Lindsay". The Frick & Lindsay Company was a distributor of oil well, mill and mine supplies around the turn of the previous century. Their building now houses the Andy Warhol museum. So this thing was at the Warhol before it was the Warhol. The swivel pin came out rather easily and the jaw swivels with just a bit of persuasion.
