Wife and I bought a new house with a 3-bay garage. The bay closest to the house is a bit compromised in the RR corner as the house sticks out there some. Also, the steps into the side door on the addition (added in 2007) block you from actually parking a car in that bay; not a big deal. Trying to strategize/brain storm on how to layout the new place. Like my last place I will be adding a shed to get all the yard equipment out of the garage. My goal is to be able to have more working space than my old 2-car, but be able to park my wife's smaller SUV in the far end bay (Mercedes GLK). The racecar will go in the center bay and eventually I want a lift. My current thought is a cantilever work bench across the entire back wall with a row of cabinets up top. The top of the cabinets will be a shelf and the space between the bench and cabinets would be peg-board. The cantilever bench would allow me to put my toolboxes and whatever else up under there. The funky space to the right side where the door to the house is located is odd.... behind that fridge sits 3 water valves for the water supply and what appears to be PCV pipe for a sink drain. Since the close bay is worthless for parking I may move the fridge to the right of the steps and let it stick out some. Then I'd figure out of I can actually put a sink in around the plumbing... thoughts/ideas are welcome. Will update as I progress! Tons of stuff to do to the rest of the house so the garage won't move as fast as my old one.
