Is there anything good at Sears?

I've got SYW points to use but I'm having the hardest time finding anything to order from Sears. I've got the US made pry bars, a brand new set of screw drivers that I'm not even sure why I bought, snap ring pliers set and a pretty decent set of Knipex pliers. Plus new air hoses, Gearwrench pick set and a few new tape measures.

What else is worth buying from sears.com that will be a good deal when surprise points are added in?

CM branded knipex cobras or special priced knipex/channellock are always good targets for using the sywr point/coupon discounts.

Craftsman all rubber garden hose is the best I've ever used. Does not kink and is very easy to use. Couplers are in great shape still.

Lots of quality stuff at Sears. I have a store nearby so I just go there instead of online. Just bought a pair of Nike shoes there last weekend, they had the best price of anyone local :) Bought a new dishwasher earlier this year. My tool collection is pretty complete but if I did need something I would have no problem buying it there. It would be nice if everything could be manufactured here but it really does not matter that much to me. As long as the tools are good quality, which they are, I will buy them.

I've got a set of Knipex end cutters in my cart right now but haven't pulled the trigger with the $12 off $30 points I have. I might go ahead and place the order but I'm not even sure if I have a real use for them.

The clearance/closeouts sometimes have good NOS stuff. I got a couple SK made flare wrenches and a nice 8oz ball pein hammer for 18.00 then some rewards points and a gift card. So I think I spent a dollar out of pocket.

check the clearance section always! stacking $5/$10 off on top of stuff that is already on clearance makes for some steals!

Knipex deals are generally pretty good with the extra points. Depending on your need the garage storage selection is also pretty good.

Need any single wrenches or sockets? Many are still USA made. Need a multimeter? They have a couple Fluke meters. What about good test leads? They also have Fluke leads. What about insulated screwdrivers? They have a nice Wiha set. As said above any of the Knipex stuff. The Pro hook and pick sets are AWESOME but move fast because they are closeout for $18. Also the Pro prybars and the regular prybars. The C3 line of power tools are fantastic for the money. I own a bunch and use them daily with no issues. There is still good stuff there.

A guy can never have enough Craftsman screwdrivers. If you can find those red Craftsman Pro screwdrivers even better - they are by far my favorite.

Do you have an indexable head prybar ? I recently pick up the 24 inch craftsman one. this has proven to a very useful tool.

The 16 Oz all steel Craftsman ball pein hammer is great, the dead blows are really nice, pipe wrenches are very nice, adjustable wrenches are all very nice., chisels and Punches... Just go look, there is a ton of good US stuff their, don't listen to the haters. Outside of US made stuff Gearwrench and the low profile rats are Hella nice.

I use all these things daily at work as an industrial maintenance tech, again don't listen to the haters. It is good stuff that takes a beating.

Lately, when I've been coming up on expiring points Witte Maxxpro plus screwdrivers have been my go to. Just checked out on 3" PH1 with hex bolster for under $4. A couple weeks ago it was a Maxxpro 4" PH2 with hex bolster and two USA-made retaining ring pliers for $15.

Witte PH2: http://www.sears.com/witte-maxxpro-plus-phillips-screwdriver/p-00940598000P
Here are the pliers: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-2-pc-qtr-turn-reg-convertible-retaining-ring/p-00947385000P

Thanks everybody. The Sears that was convenient for me closed a couple years ago. There are a couple about 30 minutes away but in directions I don't go often. So I'm pretty much an online only shopper when it comes to Sears.

I can use a couple hammers and a garden hose, plus the Knipex end cutters I've got in my cart. So that should be a few more orders but I don't know after that.

Don't forget those ball grip screwdrivers(Vessel is the OEM, made in Japan) are still on clearance for $2.50. :)

Craftsman punches, 16oz wood hammer, and pliers are all nice and US made. Craftsman's multimeter has good reviews if you don't already have something nicer. I found a set of the 20 pc Gearwrench wrenches that were Taiwan made at Sears hometown for $50. I've been happy with those. They have Dewalt stuff there too, but it's usually priced higher than HD & Lowes for some reason. Might be cheaper with coupon and points. The Craftsman padded creeper isn't bad for the price either.

ETA: Love the 84T low profile ratchets, last time I looked they had a set of three online with 3" extensions for $76.

Had some time to kill in between AAU basketball games today up in MA, so I went to the Sears store in Swansea at the mall to peruse the tools section.

Got a few cool things, grand total $32, the Knipex were "on sale" for $16.44 - my first pair of Knipex. They're cool. The opener and the pick set are USA-Made.

Overall selection was somewhat spotty, little USA-Made stuff (no surprise) and of course the rest of the store (walking through to the tool section) felt like a time warp back to 1975.

Yes, saw that stuff today. All Taiwan made and all very nice. More selection of that type of stuff than they had before.

I did the same with a pair of the handicut things a few weeks ago. How could I pass them up for $4 after SYW points and B of A cash back?

Agree...great set for the $$ at the time they were on sale. I "asked for them for Christmas" from my parents (I'm 44 btw) by sending my mom the link - and guess what? It was under the tree at their house! Felt like a kid again.

I've used the set a lot. Made In USA and solid. It's been posted on here before...get them while you can!

I pop into my local Sears every now and then, hoping to catch a Knipex deal like that. It hasn't happened yet though.

All of the open stock USA wrenches and sockets have quickly disappeared for overseas stuff, but I still go and see whats left of the rebranded stuff; Wilde/Mayhew (pry bars, scrapers), Ullman (picks), Western Forge (pliers, punches, chisels, screwdrivers). While I'm there I usually grab a pack or two of studs for the plastic VIM/Craftsman socket rails.
