very nice mind if I ask how much did you pay for it?
Good deal you get a you **** award.
Now you know the next thing I am going to ask you...
So why have you not yet posted up pictures of those VINTAGE Proto LA tools that we are dying to see?

FWIW, I've tightened a couple of flex head rats by reaming both parts and fitting an oversize pivot pin.

Nice, I think this one might have a tension spring, you can remove the pin, and reshape the spring, or if you need a new spring, I might have one. The A model of this is hard to find.
My meager Proto collection...Good deal you get a you **** award.

Yeah, the estate companies are hit and miss on tool pricing. Harbor Frieght and Sears items are priced almost at retail sometimes, the "pro" tools never seem to be priced right.
I'll wander out to the garage today and snap a couple of pics, I ended up with a couple of Proto tools, and I like them.. Jeez, just in time for me to fill another old Snap On tool box![]()
So I'm guessing the pin is in the center of the head? I keep picking gunk off every time I touch the head so I may have not found it yet.. thanks for the info! You have to put it in a vise, and with a punch, drive out the pin. It is a bear to put the guts back in the round heads, do not use grease, just machine oil
