I bought the NON locking ratchet several months ago... but I found myself wanting the locking version instead. Now I have both. lol. I may sell the NON locking ratchet. Anyone interested?

LOL! I just did the exact opposite as you. I bought the SO locking and returned it for the SO non-locking (same sizes).

A few that I have picked up over the last week.

Duralst 3/8 drive metric low profile socket set.(been wanting a set of low pro sockets and seen these while in Autozone the other day)
Duralast 3/8 flex head ratchet
Duralast 3/8 stubby ratchet
Matco 1/4 long handle 60 tooth ratchet (eBay)
Pittsburgh 1/4 and 1/2 flex head ratchets.

How you like those duralast ratchets?

I love em.I have another flex head here at home I use all the time.I've had it 4 years or so and haven't had a single issue with it.I use it about every time I pick up a ratchet.I bought the second to go in my tool kit for repairs while I'm out on the road.As for the stubby duralast I can't really comment on it because I haven't had a chance to use it.

thats good to hear. i want to get the one with the soft grip.

Those look the same as they have offered for a while. There are many threads on them. Long story short. They are well built, but course, and high backdrag.

thats what i hear, i can never get my hands on one to see for myself how bad the backdrag is.

The drag is quite stiff but it can be remedied. I took mine apart and snipped 3 coils off the spring and cleaned out the factory grease and lubed with super lube. Now they work smoothly granted they ain't no Snap On ratchet.

Brandon, the hammers are Nupla, made in the USA. They are "soft face" they are not non sparking, just softer than regular steel. Very nice hammers I think the biggest one is 8 pounds, but I can't remember for sure.

Lololol.... Couldn't you just leave the locking ratchet in the "unlocked" position? Bam, instant non locking flex.

Here's my new additions. With them being on sale or clearance, add in military discount, $10 dollar coupon, and shop your way points. Got it all for $30.98, and regular price was $113 for all of it. Wish I could get these kind of deals all the time. The retaining ring pliers made in US :bounce:, hose clamp pliers made in France :headscrat, 3 piece mini pliers set made in China :(, Impact speed-lock drill driver set made in China :(, all craftsman.

Had a ton of suprise points at sears so made a few purchases
4oz Vaughn ball pien, 2pc gimbal ratchet spinners ( I think I'm going to use them as ratching nut drivers). 5pc extreme grip sockets, 7pc grip tite sockets ( I know there **** but for a few bucks each if they bail me out one time they will be totally worth it)

Finally upgraded from my old 12 volt DeWalt to this Milwaukee set. It was a tough decision Milwaukee, Makita, or Glock. With Christmas just around the corner, the wife will be buying me a Glock. Man will she be surprised!!

I also bought one of those cordless Fein drills, seems well built, definitely not complaining for the price. I need a drill that can spin at least 3000 RPMs and this supposedly spins 3800, hopefully it will work well. Also got a couple more Nupla hammers to complete the sizes and a cool dewalt right angle flex shaft attachment, I am most excited about that, I really needed it the other day and I ended up making a mess of things, this should solve that issue.

I need to buy one of those blow guns. Keep forgetting.

The tape measure is not bad. I usually take the sticker off and keep a few around the house and in my box. There not to bad.

My friend surprised me with this today. He found it at a garage sale. My face when I saw the box was priceless I heard.

well it's been a while since i've had a chance to go tool hunting.
working too many hours, and too many projects going on around the house, plus we rescued another dog.

last week was the wifes bday, she wanted to do some antique/junk shopping, so we spent the morning out cruising the countryside....

i found a couple items...
milwaukee 6096 sander $25
CM 4047 number size drill guide $1

picked up a SO BP604 body hammer, an unmarked body hammer, and a pair of rusted visegrip 11R all $freebies$

I needed a nice compact mini sledgehammer stumbled across this Nupla HD3SG 3 lb. 10" hand drilling hammer at Sears Hardware for $28.99. I have a Nupla dead blow rubber mallet at work with an identical handle and grip and I love how it feels in my hand. USA made with a lifetime warranty!
