Holy **** that is awesome Shane!! It defiantly helps with the order mix up!! It also helps with the 2.4ah batteries that it ships with, for a full sized battery pack that is on the lower end now. 4.0ah is pretty much the standard except for low end brands.

With these extra batteries I'll have gone from having no Fein tools to having the more Fein cordless stuff than I do any other brand in just a few short weeks! Thanks for sharing the wealth Fein and Shane/ToolNut.

I got a bit of time tonight to put together a picture show.

The kit comes in exactly the same case as the drill. I put one on top of the other and they are totally identical from the outside. Also I didn't notice that there were little depressions in the top of the case but they nicely stack and sort of lock in a little bit.
k0H7G2U.jpg

Tada! The kit comes with the SuperCut, two batteries, the charger, an accessories case and a little plastic shield thing that is used to protect your hands from sharp blades while doing a blade change. I don't really get that yet though... I looked at the manual but didn't really understand it. There's also a space in the middle of the foam insert next to the spare battery where you could put larger accessories such as scraper blades.
2IS96fF.jpg

There's a good bit of storage space in this plastic case since the blades are pretty small. I put all the blades that I bought with the kit in here and there's a lot of extra room.

Here's the actual SuperCut tool. It's pretty hefty, the areas that are black are cast metal. The areas that are orange are hard plastic like on the Drill.

2so1mAR.jpg

I sort of expected this lever on the back to be plastic but it's a piece of metal and it is SOLID. There's quite a bit of resistence to opening the lever so I don't expect most would be able to pop it open one handed.
VsEIJbz.jpg

I tested and the 4Ah Drill batteries work on the SuperCut. They aren't much bigger than the 2.4Ah batteries either. Here's what the SuperCut looks like with the 4Ah drill battery.
adbUOKm.jpg

Here's a comparison of the 2Ah vs the 4Ah battery. I was kinda suprised by the differences between them. It seems like Fein doesn't just make standard 18V batteries, but shapes them to match the design of the tool with a standardized mount so they will work between tools but may look a bit weird.
w8XqecQ.jpg

Now onto the blade mount. This is what the default blade mount looks like which only works with SuperCut and Festool Vecturo blades.
NMiG96c.jpg

This is what it looks like with the Multi-Master adapter mounted. I'm not super excited about the way this works. I'm sure it will do the job but it does feel a bit janky compared to the standard SuperCut mount. I wish I had a SuperCut blade to test on it because I have a feeling they will mount a lot more solidly than a Multi-Master blade with the adapter. Also I wonder if the actual Multi-Master only mounts with 4 points like this or if it mounts with 8 as it looks like the blades are designed for. I couldn't find a good picture of the Multi-Master blade mount.
QwmytEL.jpg

If you do use the adapter, I advise against buying blades with an open back like this. I tried using this blade and it was moving all over the place left and right since it really only has one solid mounting point in the front. It was skipping left and right and would not stay mounted in the orientation I put it in. I tested it with a completely enclosed Fein Multi-Master blade and this didn't happen.
ZJ3Bf8R.jpg

As you can see, there's just not a lot to index the blade with using the adapter and as the blade opens up a bit it'll skip positions.
iMBDeFx.jpg

I made a couple of test cuts in some 2x6s and it blasted right through them with a wood E-cut blade. Since I've never used a multi tool before I had a bit of a hard time keeping the blade in position but I'm sure that's just technique that I'll acquire as I use it more. On full power it really feels like a beast, but it is also LOUD. It may be quieter than other oscillating tools but it is by no means quiet. If you're someone who wears hearing protection then... you're going to want to wear hearing protection. I have a feeling when I start on the drywall repair in the garage that this thing is going to go through the drywall like a laser through melted butter.

I can't believe I almost bought a Milwaukee M12 oscillating tool, and a few weeks later have this monster instead. It is an absolute tank, and seems to be built as well as the drill. Now we just have to hope for Fein to bring more 18V stuff to the US, and for ToolNut to get us some more sweet deals!

Hope this helps somebody make their decision.

Also, I'm going to see if I can get one of those ALEDs here to the US. There's gotta be some where I can grab one from with a german translator. If I succeed, I'll post here in case others want to try to get one.

Thanks Shane, you really turned this from a hot deal, to an on fire deal with the new batteries.

Hope Fein gets some better tool availability to expand their line and put these batteries into. German made only of course!

Any plans for the next Fein deal?

Man... two deals in a month aren't enough? You guys must have a limitless tool fund. :lol_hitti

I wish I could say that we have something on deck for the next Fein deal, but alas I don't. I'm hopeful that we might see some more deals in the future.

We do have a pretty sweet deal on a Milwaukee temp gun for $44, normally $80. We will have these in stock shortly, but you can pre-order now.

If you guys are on the fence with the Supercut, we'll be firing off an email about this deal in a couple of days. I suspect we'll sell out of them shortly thereafter. Just a friendly heads up.

On a side note Shane, a vital question-- are more Toolnut t-shirts coming in stock soon?

Yes, very vital!

We actually have brand new shirts that we've sourced. They should be in stock in 1-2 weeks in all of the sizes. The design is attached.

AND....

This deal is getting a little sweeter! We're going to toss in two free additional 18V batteries for anyone who orders one. Already placed an order? Nooooo problem. We'll be shipping you two free batteries in the coming days.

The two additional free batteries will appear when you add the AFSC to your shopping cart.

Enjoy!
Shane

Tremendous, very slick design. I was hoping for a few of the older ones but this looks great.

Anyone know whether the Festool Vecturo depth stop and plunge base work with the cordless Supercut?

Are the Festool and Fein branded branded blades the same? If not, is one better quality over the other?

The Festool Plunge base will work http://festoolownersgroup.com/festo...-festool-vecturo-plunge-attachment-it-works!/ I don't know about the bade quality though.

I personally like the Bosch Carbide blades but you would need the MM blade adapter to use them. The long run its probably the best to get that adapter its easier and cheaper to find blades that use that. I bet there is a good possibly when Fein releases an updated version of the Supercut they use the MM system.

Thanks DR99. I placed my order yesterday.

Are there any limitations (increased wobble, reduction of power to blade...) using the MM adapter/blades vs the using the blades designed for the Supercut?

I posted some pictures above about the adapter. It feels pretty solid with an enclosed MM style blade, but I don't think it's really usable with the open style. I was having the blade change positions all over the place. With a closed blade though on the MM adapter I had no issue doing aggressive plunge cuts with a decent sized E-cut blade in some SYP.

Thanks Firworks. Although more expensive, it sounds like the SC blades may have benefits. It'll be interesting to hear from folks who have experience using the SC with the SC blades vs the MM adapter/blades.

We'll know on Friday. I grabbed an Imperial STORM blade with the SC mounting hole off Amazon. I saw a pretty impressive video about them and decided to try one.

Are there any other questions about the SC that people have? I can post more photos or info on it.

The Festool Vecturo blades seem cheaper both online and locally. I can get them at Woodcraft, whereas Woodcraft near me only seems to have the Fein MM blades.

You know that your consumables and batteries are expensive when Festool has lower prices.

****, Shane, you're on the black list of my wife now...I needed another oscillating tool like a hole in my head.....but just ordered one.
Could just not stay away from this one, the FEIN company HQ is actually about 30 minutes away from where I was born, in Bargau, small town in southern Germany, drove by there many times back then.

Gotta stay away form the hot deals section I guess.....

Yojinbo, do you know if the Vecturo and Fein SC blades are the same just rebranded as festool or fein?

Fein and Festool blades do not seem to be the same. I have about 50 of the supercut blades and 40 of the Vecturo blades. They are both very good quality. The supercut blades perform much better than the MM blades in a very heavy use environment. If you are just doing DIY stuff and not running it for extended periods of time you really don't need the supercut tool or the supercut blades. The Fein MM works great for less than industrial use.

Nice info ricleh! Sounds like you have a lot of experience with this. 90 blade collection is quite an investment.

I just want to thank, Shane, Fein and Toolnut for the amazing deals (and apparently free batteries!) on the fein drill and SC. Oh and Shane thanks for sending the shipping info for my order when I never got an email from Toolnut. The service has been an A++!

That is a lot of money invested in multitool blades!! I love OMT's they can be very handy but the cost of blades can drive a person insane :)

No. I have corded versions of both. The old MM was 150W of power. Newer MM are 250W which keeps it above the competition. FSC are 400W and oscillate over a wider angle. They're badass.

I welded a piece of carbide tipped sawzall blade to a worn out supercut blade and have used it to plow through concrete stucco with steel lath inside.
actually the last MM was 250 and this new one is 350 watts. I saw someone mention that Fein has an AFMM 18 in Germany as well. Seems like they are getting too close in specs. I am willing to bet within the next year a new more powerful SC will be released, anyone agree? Ooh maybe a BL model!

Wait, so does this come with 2 2.4ah batteries AND 2 3.0ah??? A total of 4 batteries? And why does it state the 2.4ah are not warranty-able?

I am not sure if Fein will not warranty the original batteries.
I do know that the batteries that comes with the unit does not have serial number so it cannot be registered on the website.

A few days ago they sweetened the deal with two additional 3.0ah batteries. Nothing about why the 2.4's are not warrantied though, but then again they are giving you two free batteries. I can't feel too bad about that.

Yeah I also agree with that.
Maybe that is why they provided the two free batteries.

Guys, we contacted Fein after we received these because the specs on their website were that they come with 3.0Ah batteries but we received them with 2.4Ah batteries. They were kind enough to honor the specs on their website and send us the correct batteries but in doing so said they would not warranty the 2.4Ah batteries.

Like others have said, you're getting 4 batteries, 2 of which are warrantied for 3 years. The others are freebies and make this uber-deal even ubererer. Ha. So, consider them a bonus. That's the way I would look at it.

Shane,

I appreciate your honesty in this matter. There are retailers who might look the other way and not be up front about the situation. I've been in my shop all morning waiting on my SC to arrive via UPS. I have a project all laid out on the bench for it.

Shane do you know if we will get a tracking number for the batteries? I'm just curious because I never got an email for the tracking info for my supercut so maybe they sent them without a tracking number email again.

The batteries were delivered to us just late this week. So, they likely did not ship until today. I'm not sure if the guys set it up in our system so tracking would be sent or not. But, depending on your location, it may be mid-to-late next week before they arrive.

I got a Shipment Order e-mail yesterday from Toolnut. It lists Qty 2 of Fein 92604155020 18 Volt 3 Amp Hour Battery for 0.00$.

It has a UPS tracking number, and it looks like my batteries are estimated to arrive Tuesday!

Thanks again to Shane and ToolNut for supporting these deals so well and keeping us all informed. One thing I just thought of is I have to check if the 3Ah batteries fit in the case where the 2Ah batteries are. I'll report back what I find.

I just got an email as well saying that the batteries have been processed and will be shipped soon!how about a cordless tracksaw or a jigsaw next Fein?! THough they don't seem to make woodworking tools , seems mostly metal and automotive specialty tools.

I use the heck out of my dewalt oscillater. I cut holes in drywall, trim moulding, cut grout lines. It's real useful. Basically the blade vibrates. The blade can attach 180 degrees on the hub.

Well, Just got back from a week in Vegas for a work convention and my Supercut is here. Pic with the whole family together. (scored the Multimaster at a pawn shop loaded with blades and the profile kit for 100 bucks last year) Love the Fein cases, more sturdy than the systainers in my opinion. My batteries should be here in a few days. Thanks again Shane and Toolnut!!!
