A new Plasma - Now includes a TABLE
Who wants a big screen TV when they can have a new tool
Finally after forcing myself not to by a Plasma cutter, I've bitten the bullet.
After much research, I've bought a Hypertherm 45
They are quite cheap in the States (jusy not fair) but here in Oz they are $4200
I have looked at all different models & I just can't see myself wanting to cut real large plate, so the 45 seemed the go.
One of the reasons I chose the Hypertherm range is they are CNC compataable which is the plan. I can unplug the torch, plug in the machine torch & computer & way I go.
I will be building the cutting table soon, but not for a gantry yet.
While I was waiting for the sparky to arrive to wire up the plug (plus I'd had enough of bashing metal for a while
) I knocked up a trolley for it.
It's been used already, cutting out some stub structure from a '48 F1 floor.
Blurry pics I'm sorry. Too much of a hurry with my phone, but you get the jist.
