Thanks everyone. The o-ring on the swivel seems like a great idea.

Not satisfied based on usage/problem or value based on price?
True but, they stopped putting external fuel filters on GM vehicles in 2004![]()
.......Said he has to "get his account in order" before he can order more stuff. How long does it normally take you guys to get something from Snap On if they don't have it on their truck?
If I want something that isn't in stock on my SO truck, I tell my dealer what I want and I have it in my hand the following week. Unless it's something weird, or on national back-order..... like I said, normal items are one week. Fortunately my SO dealer keeps very good inventory on the truck so usually this isnt a problem. If your dealer needs to get his account "in order" that sounds like he is having trouble maintaing "good standing" with SO corporate? Translation: he needs to pay his bill before he can order more stuff.
Our guy takes forever. I still have yet to recieve my new pliers from like 4 weeks ago. Had to wait for a pick for like 3 weeks. Seems like some guys are not organized. Plus sometimes he won't show up or at different times. Our matco guys comes at exactly 9am every Friday. Never had a problem

Wouldn't it be a lot faster to simply order the tools from the Snap-On website if you have a bad driver like that?
I'd expect better service than what you described if I was paying Snap-On prices for tools.
Snap-On will pretty much tell you to get fucked if you are in a franchisee's territory, whether or not you are actually getting serviced by that dealer. I can tell you that from personal experience. Me? I'm at every stop, every week within an hour of my normal time unless something unusual happens.
That sure seems like excellent customer service...

My SO dealer is awesome. Same time every week. Orders come in one week, etc, etc. Our MAC dealer, not so much. Lol.
When I tell my SO dealer to order me something, its entered into their computer while I'm still standing there.... then my dealer looks at me and says, "ok, its ordered. You should have it next week". Easy.

This. When I want something that isn't on the truck, my rep asks "Want me to bring it next week or want it at your house the day after tomorrow?" I usually ask to have it shipped...because if I'm buying a tool...chances are I have a near future use for it.If I want something that isn't in stock on my SO truck, I tell my dealer what I want and I have it in my hand the following week. As far as Snap On drivers go, if you have no truck balance and you pay for the item then I would expect it to be there the next week. If you owe the driver money and you are asking them to order more tools, then you may have to wait, what do you expect for $20 a week?

So does that mean it matters?
I've seen them ! They cover the sign with a magnetic one and let the customers behind those curtains to shop when they're there !Depends if your driver is paying down his account with the money you give him, or if he's stopping by the ********** on the way home.
That's not true. I live in a large metro area with several SO dealers surrounding me. There have been times in the past that I did not have a normal dealer stopping at my previous job. I had NO PROBLEM buying tools from the SO website. SO gladly took my money in exchange for tools. Lol. The only thing the website doesnt offer is sales, special priced items, bogo deals, etc. You pretty much will pay full price for everything on the website. Oh, and you pay "in full" too, no truck credit with internet sales.
