Howdy!
I have a set of ratcheting wrenches from GearWrench that I got as a gift a few years ago, and never really used it for much except an occasional oil change. Until yesterday they always performed well. I was using the half inch wrench for a nut on a sattelite dish and the whole ratcheting part just fell out of the wrench. I didn't even use it to break free the nut, it was already broke loose. What's the world coming to? Anyway, does anyone know the email address for gearwrench that I can contact them to see if they will give me a new one under their warranty? see picture.

Well, that is slightly awkward.

Start off with giving them a call?

Tools fail all the time. Sometimes they are abused, other times they are assembled incorrectly, have minor manufacturing issues, material failures such as brittle spots, etc.

It happens to all brands and it's no big deal. Call them, they'll send you a new one. Stop in at Fastenal, Sears, Advance Auto, etc. and see if they'll swap it.

Help you help yourself. A simple Google for "GearWrench warranty service", "GearWrench contact us", or whatever would likely get you what you need.

Crazy. I've never tried Sears (ours all closed) but I've exchanged several items to Advance with no issues. All purchased from Sears or other online retailers. Took one item in to Fastenal but it was a pass thru set they didn't stock so they couldn't do an exchange.

Apex had a new wrench to my house in something like 3 days. I had one that would auto-reverse out of the box.

I don't know if it helped or not, but I attached a copy of my receipt in the email.

I had the same thing happen to one of my craftsman wrenches. It had to do with pressure against the ratcheting ring. I could repay the issue if I rainy tried, but I just snapped it back together and have been using it for years.

My 7/16 does that. I was able to find all the pieces and put it back together. It comes apart when it's ratcheted quickly.

Howdy! I just got the replacement wrench from apex tool in the mail today! I was very pleased with their service, except that when I emailed them before I sent anything back, they ignored it. So I just mailed it to the address on their website. It only took about a couple weeks to get it back.

Not sure about Gearwrench at Fastenal, but my local store replaced my Armstrong 1/2" flex head ratchet with no questions, only took 2 days for the replacement to arrive . No problems at all

Just had the same, positive experience w/ GW warranty, by simply mailing the broken tools to Apex's Sparks, MD address. Trying to start an email exchange will only cost you more time, IMO.
