So I need to warranty a 3/8's roto head ratchet. Sears (place of purchase) is a no go. Where else would warranty them? Yes I did search so hopefully it's not a recent repeat.

Sears, as a partner with Danaher/GearWrench, is required to warranty them on behalf of GearWrench.

If they're being dinks, call up GearWrench customer service, they'll take care of you.

I was told by Sears if they didn't sell the particular tool they wouldn't warranty it, ymmv. Lowes didn't sell what I had either but they made an effort and called GW for me. I ended up speaking with GW on the phone at Lowes and gave her my address. I had a new wrench within a week.

Seems like you could call GW yourself and get the same service, lady I spoke to was very polite.
