Those 1/2 bars are still my favorite bar. I don't know how many cheater pipes I have had on mine and still haven't broke or bent 1 yet.

Good to know in case my new SK XXL 30" 1/2" breaker bar isn't strong enough for some fastener. ;)

firworks, that looks like a pretty complete set. Just need the speed wrench

Maybe I'll pick one up off eBay. I see a few of them for fairly reasonable prices.

Also, I found this other picture I took a while back of this little 1/4" set I got at auction. It's from the Dresser era and it's still got the paper insert in it.

Along with my SK Day order, a box with this set was waiting at home for me today. Found on CL, and shipped to me for $35 for the set. They will clean up nicely. This should finish most of a nice SK-RP set up to 1-1/4. It's been a great tool day.

Found these SK sockets on CL about a week ago. The shallows are 8mm-19mm, and 5 are brand new. Seller said he could not sell an incomplete set. The deeps are also very nice, but the 3/8 has no markings whatsoever, although it is obviously SK. Paid $45 for both sets.

Been meaning to post this for a while. While returning from a trip to southern WV for an Appalachia Service Project adventure this summer, I stopped at a roadside flea market and found this set. Paid the $50 asking price. Only 1 socket had been used. Label is copyrighted 1989. This has been a good SK year for me.

Some really great looking <SK> stuff in here!
I've been working on this wartime set for a while now. I'm missing the 1/2" drive 12pt. sockets in 1/2" and 7/16" (if anyone has a spare;) ). I'm using some wartime Bonney sockets as placeholders for now.

I will check tonight you maybe in luck. Are you looking for the black oxide style? Or just the knurled steel with no chrome.

Here's mine. Got it from my dad. Not sure where he got it from. Growing up, he was was Craftsman guy. Only when I was selling his home did I find it in his garage. Everything is in such great condition that I don't want to use it.

Very nice sets guys. These are some patent pending 1/2" ratchets all 42470. One is the plain finish, and two earlier versions from the 1930's I believe.

I have never even seen the bottom one but have seen a similar Kane brand one. I have the middle one but that is a very hard find.

I have the Kane too. An old Kane set came up for sale on the bay a while back and I wish I had bought it for the sockets. The ratchets look similar but the mech. is different, screw head diameter is different. Although I've had the suspicion S-K may have made that brand, because the sockets were dead ringers for S-K knurled base sockets, and the box looked similar to S-K.

I could be totally wrong though, didn't save any pictures unfortunately and there's barely anything online.

I'm not sure. I got it from an auction. I usually buy every green metal box I see because it's something cool from SK.

Today I scored an S-K 40170 female ratchet. Stamped Drop Forged.

I've wanted to find one (reasonable) for a while. No plug in sight but have some others that would fit.

I found one of them 2 years ago pulled it out the dirt at an auction that was for a quarry. Nothing more satisfying than pulling a piece of history out of the dirt that would have rotted otherwise

 Sweet save.

It's strange how SK gave this part number to the 15" long round head ratchet later on.

Sweet find 3bay! May I use your pics on my site? I don't have an example of that one. Incidentally, that looks to be a sealed head correct?
I have one with the plug if you want pics.

Soem of my earliest tools from my childhood were given to me by a neighborhood motorcycle shop owner who was probably tired of my constantly borrowing tools to work on my bicycles. Included was a partial set of SK combination wrenches which I still own today (painted blue).

Here are those and a few other vintage SK tools in my possession.

My S-K that I brought home to inventory a couple years ago. Sometime having a stall in our clubs garage is convenient for storage, sometime it isn't.
Holy emerald green goodness. How long did it take to pick up that much s-k items? And I have been looking for a Frankenstein for a while if you are willing to trade or sell.

I've been collecting S-K for many years, picking it up at garage sales and swap meets or flea markets. I've never store bought any.
It took me a couple years to finally get the 1/2" and 3/8" Franky's, so for now I'll be hanging on to them.
What's on that table doesn't include all the 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" box sets or S-K Wayne I have.
It's nice to have but kind of a pain to have it stored away from home where I could enjoy it more.
