you run into a lot of the no tool # S-K “ chrome” marked 8 pts?

I run into a lot of 4 & 8 pt sockets period, and they are near useless. - I do work on things that use square fasteners, but I don't need them in every brand in the universe...
uh huh....I'm going to take that as a long "no".
I just picked the last socket to complete this No. 4097 socket set, with the 6-pt, 8-pt. and 12-pt S-K sockets. It has the unmarked flex-handle and crossbar. Based on @d42jeep’s posts, this looks like late 1941 - early 1942 production before the wartime metal restrictions.

I think that the 8 point S-K Chrome sockets are a cool find. I checked pictures of my S-K Chrome box and I don’t see any 8 point sockets.

Just in the 1/4” drive sets. The 1/2” drive 8 point sockets are readily available in regular S-K knurled sockets but they seem rare in the S-K Chrome marked sockets.
