Looking at the description I do, but not the first time I saw the item name. I've never needed to run a house circuit from a generator before. :headscrat

They're very handy to have. I have a 12 circuit in in my house. I can swap out circuit depending on what I need during power outage

Anyone in SE Florida?

I found the transfer switch in Pembroke Pines store, and using the $10 off $50 it ends up being $45.59.

Trouble is, it's either store pick up or truck shipping for $79.

I need someone to pick one up for me and ship it.

Anyone ever find an item from at Lowes that is so old it is out of the system?

What is their policy for old items like this? Or do they not have one.

The only time I've experienced that, they marked it at full retail. I put it down and walked out. Next time I went in, it was gone. Sketchy!

It sells for whatever is in the price tag, whichis usually higher than the last clearance price.

339210 - allen + roth 76-in Sable Wood Closet Tower - $21.48 / $169.00
339215 - allen + roth 76-in Sable Wood Closet Tower - $16.68 / $139.00

I bought several of the 339210. These are great for the garage if you can find them cheap enough. Decent MDF construction instead of particle board and they have adjustable shelves, I plan on building an additional shelf for the bottom portion and using the two provided shelves for the top portion. Not sure on the 339215, the shelves have like slots in them which seems like stuff might fall though. Most of the 339210 are still at $42.96 or higher but keep an eye on em, my store had a 50% markdown on top of that price. Don't forget to use a 10% or $10/$50 coupon to sweeten the deal.

Yes I found a cordless Senco finish nailer. Manager was a **** and wanted to sell it for $400 which is the price he found on Amazon. There wasn't even a barcode on the box, it was cut out, like someone mailed it in for a warranty or a rebate.

I said "why the **** would I pay $400 for that? The battery is probably shot"
He said "well I'm not gonna give it to you for $50"

Then I smiled at him and pointed to the Senco roofing nailer in my cart and said "well you're selling this to me for $32"

He got pissed

Just a note about finding the best price on an item.

The transfer switch was an example.

People found it discounted for different prices in different places.

I noticed that usually when it was discounted heavily, the only available shipping method was truck, which makes it a not so good deal.

When it was discounted just a little, parcel shipping was available. Affordable.

I didn't want to search low and high, all over the country, to find one at a good price.

So I started a chat session and had the associate look nationwide for me. He found it for a better price than any other posted in this thread. But it was only available as a pick up at store or truck shipping.

I've been told that sometimes, if you go ahead and buy an item for pickup, you can call the store and get it shipped by parcel instead. If they won't, you can just cancel.

An additional note. I talked to an associate at the 800 number, and they said that they don't have the ability to do a nationwide search for the best price on an item being clearanced. They did say that the chat representatives online were a different company that did that for them, but they didn't know if the chat guys had the ability to do a nationwide search.

On the ability to get things that are clearanced, they said that the free shipping on items over $45 was an issue. The 800 number people would have to call the store and see if the store would eat the shipping on the clearanced item. It would need their approval. That's why sometimes a lightly clearanced item is available for parcel shipping, but a deeply discounted one is only available for truck shipping. It's their way of making it only available for store pickup. I imagine that if you were willing to pay the shipping, that they might go for shipping it parcel.

I still need to find if the chat guys have nationwide search.

OK,
After some more investigation, I have additional answers.

I called the 800 number and asked if the live chat people can look up clearance prices nationwide. es they can.

I asked if the 800 number people can. He said they can as well. But then when I asked him to do a search, he asked for my zip code and gave me the local store price. I then asked if he could search the entire chain inventory, and he did and found a better price in Ohio.

So it seems they first do a local search, and then will expand it if you ask.

I then asked about parcel versus truck shipping. He said that if an item is listed as truck shipping and not parcel, that they can get it changed to parcel (If size and weight apply) but the customer will have to pay the shipping.

So there is the method for searching, finding and getting clearance items nationwide.

Coralnut would not approve of this post.

Who the hell is Coralnut and why would anyone care what he thinks?

Update:
Well, it seems it depends who you talk to and what system they have available to look things up in. My latest contact says they can only look nationwide to see stock and the company's cost but not clearance items, which are store by store. And this associate said they can't parcel ship clearance items and also that the transfer switch wasn't being clearanced, except store by store.

So I called the S. Nashua store, where the last 2 were already bought online and waiting for pickup. They said that if they had any that they would be glad to ship them to me by parcel for a fee. Didn't specify if the fee was actual shipping cost of some other amount. She said it was based on cost of the item, whatever that means. I didn't inquire further.

I also learned that their online database, at least for the online orders, is updated at midnight, so stock might be off.

Takes a lot to understand the system.

Ground shipping is 5.99 (I assume it's up to a certain weight or size).

I think in cases like this, they use actual shipping instead of a standard amount. I was quoted $8 something for shipping for this 17 pound item from an OH location to Detroit. And since you are buying from a local store, you pay whatever the local sales tax there is.

just about to post that, I picked one up along with what was supposed to be a DDS182-02 They knocked it down to $25 for a missing battery but Now that I opened it, it has the wrong drill in the box lol. Got one 2.0 ah battery and a older ddb181 drill. can't really complain for $25 but that kind of sucked

$31.99 on the ps21-2a, No box though but every thing is there.

Down to 62.78 at one area store. Still 162 at others.

62.78 is great cheapest I've seen is 100 dollars at one store it has 46 on hand crazy amount. Then again its south florida with all the hurricans we have. They are selling online for 170-180 free shipping. To bad the 20 dollars off coupon code doesn't work.

The Bosch 18v skillsaw and sawsall were both $35.00 at Lowes South Burlington, VT. If you can find the 18v drill, you could have a pretty nice set for cheap.

It was $55 in the store I was at 2 in stock, could only find the displays and they did look for it pretty hard. At least they knocked the price down even if it was the wrong drill in the kit.

If you guys only find the displays pull the battery on the drills and check the model number.

Then you need to get customer service involved.

They do ship from stores if the the item is too far for you to go get. You do have to pay actual shipping.

Find the item.

Verify it is physically there.

Call the 800 number and give them your CC number and they will charge it for the clearance item price plus shipping.

Update on searching. I'm told, and I believe it based on some evidence, that no one at Lowes has the ability to search for clearance items nationwide by best price.
