I've got one on my Alphatig. Same welder you have if I remember correctly. Anyway, better coverage, not sure I'm using any less gas. The new collets fit my tungsten a LOT better than the ones that came with the machine. I'm using a 17f torch

I'm using a Pyrex gas lense set up on my WP 20 for my Everlast tig. I love it but I'm by no means a geat tig welder

It does let me get a better veiw of the puddle though.

The pyrex cups are fragile though and break easily if your not carefull. They are glass after all.

I use gas lenses and typically a #7 or #8 ceramic cup on my Weldcraft WP-20 torch connected to my Miller Dynasty 300DX. When welding stainless steel I will many times switch up to a #12 cup for a bit better coverage.

I really like the gas lense setup.

Yep we got the same welder and I just converted my torch over. Now I just need to try it out.

I looked at the Pyrex cups but heard you weren't supposed to weld in ac with them.

This true?

Correct, they are not AC friendly.

Although they work great for allowing longer stickout but if you need a clear cup to see what you are doing, you have other issues or are not doing something right. I have used them on occassion but they are quite fragile compared to a ceramic cup. The regular gas lense improves gas coverage over a standard collet and cup but I didn't see much of an advantage from a gas lense ceramic cup to the Pyrex.

I have heard that they work well on Titanium but I personally have not tried them on that, only chromoly.

Before I got mine, I was convinced I needed an upgraded torch. However after using it, I really like it. Light in my hand, the cable is very flexible. I even took it to my LWS and compared it to their top end torches, not enough of a difference to justify the cost. That's how I ended up with a gas lens kit!

Depends on what your welding. I use a Pyrex cup with 1/16 tungsten for small stuff. For larger stuff and AC I use a #6 or #10 cup based on material size.
